This page of our walkthrough covers the beginning chapter 6 - Step into the Unknown Plague Tale: Requiem. We explain how to escape from the pilgrim camp, how to cross the quarry, how to use Ratsense and control rats like Hugo, and how to get through a building filled with rats.

Find your way to the coast

Start crossing the forest. You will reach a large clearing where Hugo will suggest heading towards a large tree. Once you're there, you'll find herbarium pen Hugo - Jay.

Ask for directions to the coast

Keep going until you reach pilgrim camps. After talking to one of the women, you can start investigating him.

Escape from soldiers

Find a way out

Get to the building

Your destination is at the other end of this vast territory, guarded and patrolled by enemies. Use the Ratsense and hide in the tall grass to stay out of sight of the enemies. You can eliminate them as usual or remove them.

Find a way out of the building

In the room where you started exploring the building, you can crouch and go through a small opening. You will find locked crafting table, which you can open with a knife.

Deal with the soldiers

Get to the main room of the building, where for the first time Hugo will rule the rat swarm. You can direct the rats with the left analog stick. Send them for the guards and devour them.

After talking with Amicia, you must activate Hugo's power manually. contact the rats (hold down on D-pad) and aim at the rat swarm - as soon as the yellow crosshair appears, take control of them with R2/RT.

Find a way out of the building - continued

Collect crafting resources from the area and stand at the edge of the rat swarm. You must:

1. Shoot the basket with Ignifer;

Do the same with the nearest torch to get to the stairs.

The path will take you to the new workbench.

There are also ladder, as shown above, which you should use right away. Approach the hole and squeeze through it.

You will be in canvas room, in which you can open a new secret: Memory - What color do you want?.

Return to the workbench room and open the door. You will leave the building.
