Walkthrough Healing in A Plague Tale Requiem
Our walkthrough describes the finale of the game Plague Tale Requiem - Chapter 16 (King Hugo). You'll learn where Hugo is, how to avoid waves of rats, and how to play the final showdown correctly.
Find Hugo
Start making your way through the devastated city. Look inside the ruined building on the right - you will find crafting table и secret chest.
Use the stairs and approach Lucas. Here you will find the last secret in the game - Carnation, flower for Hugo's Herbarium.
Go through the door next to the secret. You will trigger a cutscene. Hugo is in a massive sphere far in the distance.
Heed the plan as soon as you get down. You must avoid rat swarms and move from cover to cover - the first of which is the section of the wall shown above. start sprint every time a rat wave passes you - you should have enough time to get to the next piece of cover.
Your destination is the lowest ruins. Move a few obstacles and open a gap through which you can squeeze through.
Run to the broken bridge, no longer worrying about the lack of shelter. Once you reach the end of the bridge, listen to the conversation and confirm you want to go down.
The Final Battle
You will be taken to a new area that Amicia must explore on her own. Along the way you will find phoenix statues. Your instinct may tell you to go where they are facing, but this is not what you should be doing - stand by the statue and move in the opposite direction from the one to which it is directed.
Amicia will slow down, eventually being transported somewhere else. Monsters will attack you. You have an unlimited supply of Iglyphators to use against them.
Soon enough, you will realize that it is pointless to fight them off, as the attack does not stop. Choose Extinguis and put out the fire is the only way to escape the nightmare.
If you don't use it in time, you will die and return to the phoenix statues. This means that you will have to start over.
You will eventually "find" Hugo and start making your way through the new area. You don't have to do anything here - just listen to what the characters you pass by have to say.
Once Amicia is alone again, keep moving forward. You will meet Luka, resuming his journey to Hugo. You are no longer under any danger from rats.
There is only one thing left - aim and shoot Hugo. This triggers a cutscene and ends chapter 16.
