inmost is a new spooky and atmospheric puzzle platformer from Chucklefish Studios and Hidden Layer Games. There are hidden collectibles to find, achievements to chase, and plenty of puzzles to solve. This step by step guide should help you if you get stuck.

At the beginning of the game, you control a child. Immediately open the closet doors near the bed, remove the stool from there and take it to the chair on the left. Putting the stool on the chair, climb on it and move the stool to the table. From the table, climb onto the stool, climb onto the bookshelves above and climb through the vent. Move forward to the front door to meet a strange knight.

Now you control the man. The lantern standing nearby is a means of conservation. The path to the right is blocked by dense thickets. To eliminate them, you need a scythe. Move to the left to find a house. The front door is closed, but there is a wooden platform in front of it. Jump on it to destroy the platform and then crawl under the house. Once inside, pick up a scythe, jump to the second floor and talk to an unknown character. He will say that he has been hiding here for a very long time. He also hid his brother behind the house. Return to the thickets and cut them.

Talk to the girl at the well. She will say that she dropped the key there, and dad will punish her. Move to the right after crossing the well, use roll (CTRL) to overcome the dripping black slime. Jump a little higher. There is a lever on the right behind the door. But you need a key to open the door. Go down the stairs. Don't rush down the long stairs. On the left there is a hole. If you make your way along it, you will find a destructible wall. But in order to destroy it, you have to find a pickaxe.

Climb down the stairs, go right to make the dark monster jump down towards you. And then crush him with a wagon standing on the left. Climb down to the lantern and go left, inside the big box. You will see an apartment. Controlling the old man, go to the door, taking the hat along the way, and go down to the first floor until the light bulb explodes in the vestibule.

Returning to the man again, turn the handle to raise the cages. Jump over them to the right until you find a pickaxe. Hidden behind black slime. Fire the big weapon, but the arrow will hit the box. Climb up the stairs on the right to find a cat. He will say that you need to find the lever. Jump to the right and down to a lever that can be turned. After doing this, you will see how the box falls. Go down to the crate and push it to the right. Be careful as there will be slime under your feet. When the box falls down, it will break, and you will be able to get two large arrows. Charge each one in turn and fire your weapon to smash the crate and destroy the slime in the passage. Take pickaxe.

Go back, jump to the left on the hanging cages and go up the long stairs. Roll into the hole in the wall on the left to enter a secret niche. Break the fragile wall with the pickaxe and go down. Climb up to the ledge in front of the pit you need to jump over to get the key. The board will break. Go back to the right by jumping over the hole and loosen the beam. A stone will fall from above and in the same place, at the top left, you will see shaky stones. Use your pickaxe to smash them to fill up the black goo pit. Then move the overturned beam through it (you will also need to break the cobblestone standing in the way with a pickaxe) to substitute it as a support under the bridge. Jump over the hole and take the key. Climb up and open the door to get to the lever.

With the lever in hand, return to the cat that asked to open the door. Insert the lever into the mechanism on the right and open the passage. Follow to the left until you encounter a monster. Quickly climb back up the stairs and drop down into the hole on the right. When the monster flies to the right, run to where it was, climb up and follow to the left. Jump to the very top, where there will be a lantern and a descending platform. Dropping onto the no, you will hide from the monster that will fall on the spikes. Examine his black arm sticking out of the spikes.

Now you have to control a knight with a sword. First, he can kill enemies. Secondly, the E key allows it to be attracted to light walls or ceilings. The first such light wall is on the right. After jumping down, pull towards it by pressing E. Falling down, destroy the barricade and kill the enemy. Go to the wall on the left and press E to pull yourself to the top. There will be a big monster here. Hit him a couple of times and then roll to the right. Finish off. Cut two ropes and push down the bridge. Jump to the right and break the support that holds the other part of the bridge. Climb up there again, killing the enemies. Go all the way to the right and pull yourself to the top.

Break the barrier on the right, pull the bridge towards you to block the pit with spikes, and then climb higher. After finishing off all the enemies, get into the elevator and cut the rope on the left. Climbing upstairs, finish off the rat and go down to the man from below. Watch the cut-scene.

You are in control of the man again. A device appeared on the left. Interact with him to lower the white rope down. Attach a gear to it, and then start the lifting device. Drag the gear to the mechanism on the right and take the elevator up. First, you can jump to the left to find a locked chest under the roof. There is also a rope on the platform. You need a knife to cut it. Jump right and up. When the monster jumps down, jump back to where it was. Climb even higher up the stairs.

There are two more devices with white cables here. Jump to the right. Examine the door of the house. Need a key. Under the house there is a stone, breaking which you will get a shining cross. Jump on the tree, from it - up and get to the tree house. Here you will meet a strange eccentric. Talk to him. He will give a crowbar and say that you need to lift fuel onto the tree. Immediately lower the crane hook down near the eccentric. Get down. See the wooden cube on the platform? Such cubes can now be opened. To do this, the hero will use a crowbar.

Go down a little lower. See the bridge on the left with the black boar standing on it? Jump towards it and then drop down. The boar will jump to the right, destroying the black thickets. You go to the left to meet a strange creature. Chat with him. For the pain that you collect throughout the game (shiny crosses), you will hear the continuation of the story from this character. That is, it is optional.

Walk to the right, where the boar ran away. Lure him out and jump onto the platform from above to make the boar fly to the left. Cut the grass where there were black thickets. After receiving the pain, punch the entrance to the cave on the right. There will be a canister inside the cave. However, you can jump up to the ledge on the upper left to find a stone. After breaking it, you will get the first drawing. This is another optional item that allows you to understand the plot of the game.

Drag the canister to the left, pick it up on the first lift. Then hook on the second and third. Everything is simple. Remember that you can climb trees. Upstairs, refuel the generator on the right. Jump over to the other side, climb up and lower the second half of the bridge. Wait for the weirdo, talk to him and get the second drawing from him.

Examine the elevator with the old man, then go down under the house and inspect the slime (just stand next to it). Climb back and chat with the weirdo. He will give you the key. Go down and open the door of the house on the right.

You will control the girl. Exit the house by going to the opening and pressing W. Go downstairs and go left. Pick up the teapot and place it on the tea table under the tree. Go right, enter the house and use the doorway. Go right to the front door to see the appearance of a man. When the woman runs away, follow the left and use the door under the stairs. Turn on the light and examine the box. There is something there. Get out of here and see how the father opens the door on the second floor. Go through it, take the gift from the table. Take the box and take it to the closet to get over the box. The girl will find the rabbit.

Once again, you are in control of the man. Enter the house, break the stones and follow through the cave with the spiders. On the level below you will see a blocked path. Get back out of the house, go down under it and pull the valve out of the wall. Return to the cave with the spiders, get down lower and lower, running away from them. Soon you will see a huge spider on the left. Run to the right, up and further until you find a room with a fireplace.

Going to the left is useless, so follow the right, climb the shelves and get to the room with the prisoner. There is a valve at the top. It is hidden behind two latches. One is activated by the button below, the other by the lever at the top left. Also on the floor between the button and the lever there is a cart that you can move left and right. Get down to the button. Take a running jump to the wall with a shadow on the right. You will destroy it. Stand on the button and wait for the shadow to approach you. While the shadow is on the button, lower the lever at the top. So you can pick up the valve. Return to the fireplace and go left.

You will again be forced to control a knight with a sword. A rather lengthy sequence will begin. You will need to climb higher and higher, killing enemies. The black slime will only disappear if you have finished off all the targets. In some cases, it will be necessary to destroy the supports of the bridges so that they sink lower, or to pull the walls with a harpoon. One way or another, hitting the very top, you will view the cut-scene.

In the room to the left of the fireplace, install a valve and shut off the flow of energy. Climb up and to the left, go further and take the knife. Climb up the ledges on the left and cut the rope to drop the bundle down. Inside will be the third drawing. Follow the fox to the left, go down until you see a monster. Run away from him to the left. Press E to cut the web faster. In the end, you will go upstairs to the box, and the monster will not be able to follow you. Follow right, up and left. Break the wall and activate the lever at the moment when the monster will stand under the stakes. That's how you finish him off. Examine the place where the monster died.

We continue the story of the knight. Move to the right, killing enemies and being attracted to the glowing ropes. In the end, you will reach the castle, and you will see how the knight transfers the accumulated pain to the Guardian. Watch the cut-scene and then control the girl. Press E to count to ten, then go in search of the rabbit. I found it in a cupboard near the refrigerator. Next time, first look into the pantry under the stairs, then exit it and open the door to the right of the stairs. In the greenhouse there will be only a closed door. Climb to the second floor and go right. The rabbit is hidden in a room with a tall clock. Move a chair under the switch and turn on the light. Having done this, move the chair to the left and climb up the shelves. This will get you to the vent. Through the ventilation, make your way to another hole and find yourself on a shelf with a rabbit. Then press E to get out of the piano. After the rabbit will hide for the third time.

Go to the room on the right to see the attic stairs. It needs to be dropped somehow. Follow the first floor, to the front door on the right and move the chair there. With it, you will reach the hanging umbrella. Go back upstairs, push the other chair into the room with the stairs to the attic. Put a stool on it, climb up and lower the ladder with an umbrella. Turn on the light with the switch on the right and pick up the rabbit located on the left. The girl thinks that there are children hidden in the attic. Go down to the first floor, move the chair to the shelves in the kitchen and try to take the cookies.

When you control the man, you can go back to the left, where the monster appeared, and find the fourth drawing. Get out through the door that the fox used. Climb up, to the left. On the left side of the level where there is a girl, you can get through the wall to a large chest with two sparkles (grief). There will be a rope at the top. Cut it, go down and pick up the fifth drawing. Look on the left for the entrance to the cave, which can be pierced with a pickaxe. There will be a skeleton inside. Under the skeleton, look for a woman who will give a black heart. This item will allow you to destroy black barriers. One of these is to the left of the huge spider in the cave. Remove this barrier, pull the lever and go outside. The big spider will run away from the cave and you will get the sixth drawing. You can look for other similar passages.

Go back to the weirdo with the elevator. Clear the elevator and give the web to the weirdo (you picked up the web automatically when you ran away from the spiders in the cave with the giant spider). Wait. Climb up the elevator, open the chests and slide down the rope inside the castle.

You are in control of the girl. Follow the rabbit to the left until the girl hides behind the sofa. Go upstairs to the attic, turn on the light. Move the chair to the left and place a stool on it. Climb onto the crate and take the box. Set it on a stool. Move this whole structure to the right. Using a chair with a stool and a box, climb onto the shelf in the upper right and activate the button. Now you can move the chair with the stool to the left and climb onto the roof. Make your way to the middle room of the attic and approach the door. After the cut-scene, get out from under the table, and then go to the kitchen for the spoons. Watch the video.

Once again, you are in control of the man. First, go downstairs and go left. Try to activate the lever, but nothing will happen. Climb the stairs in the center and lower the hook with the cable down. Climb even higher, move the springy shelf onto the wooden boards in the center of the attic. Climb up and then jump straight onto the boards to make a hole in the floor. Climb down and place the gear on the hook. Pick it up with the mechanism, move it to the right to drop it lower, and then insert it into the hole. Pull the same lever to open the hatch leading to the floor below.

Go down, move the cage to the left, follow below and pull out the first bolt. Climb back up to the level with the cage and turn the crank on the right to raise the second bolt. And then pull the third key so that the key falls down. Get to the key (go down and down), open the door and watch the video. Go left, and when you get tired, go back to the right, and go down the stairs.

You will return to the castle. Climb down, climb the ledges on the left. Eventually, you will be able to jump out of the castle onto the tree on the left. So you will get over the house, inside of which you found a scythe.

Now will be the most difficult moment. Pull the bell several times (do not move the structure, but beat the bell!). A monster will burst out of the cave. Jump over it, enter the cave and drag the beam from there to repair the bridge under the cave. Climb up and jump to the platform on the right. Jump a little higher, where there is a white tube under another platform. You can knock down another bell from there. Ring the bell several times, and while the monster is busy with it, quickly run into the cave and take the mechanism needed to rise. Quickly leave the cave and climb up. You again control the knight. As you kill the enemies, go down and down until you visit the Keeper.

And again you control the main character. Now return to the cave with the skeleton of the monster, under which they found the black heart. To the upper left of the skeleton was or is a white fox. There are also two cables along which you can now climb up (using the found device). Soon you will reach the cave. Move through it. Raise the barrier with one handle, then lower it with the other (believe me, this is how it should be). Follow the right, up and under the ceiling to the left. Jump down before the black paw hits you. Jump even lower and you will see a passage to the left. If you had not lowered the barrier earlier, it would block the way. So you get to the lever. Activate it to open access to another lever. Activate it too, jump down and make your way through the hatch. This path will allow you to reach the top of the mountain, where there will be a bridge with a white fox. Go right behind the fox and watch the video.

Now you are playing as a girl again. Go to the first floor kitchen and examine the shelves until the rabbit says that there is ventilation at the top. Climb onto the oven, climb up, open the locker and follow above. Make your way through the ventilation, inspect the first room, and then move the chair to the closet on the left, next to the door. Use the chair to climb up the closet and make your way into the room on the left. Check out everything here. Climb up the left cabinet's pedestal to open the top door, and then crawl up using the shelves that form a ladder. There you will find a box with a key. Use this key to unlock the last door in the attic and watch a long cutscene.

Next is the knight. Move the only route, killing enemies and using a harpoon. Shadows in the form of people can not be touched. You will soon see a lengthy cutscene leading to the end of the game.
