The Last of Us Eco-Horror Trailer Shows the Nutcracker! Plagiarism?
The South African "environmental" horror film "The Last of Us", not to be confused with The Last of Us (in the original Gaia - "Gaia") received a trailer in Russian.
According to the plot of the tape, the caretaker finds a man with his son in the territory of the relic forest, leading a wild, primitive lifestyle. They have "their own religion and mystical relationship with nature." And after a certain creature attacks their dwelling, the girl learns that “something very ancient and powerful” lives in the forest.
But here's the weird thing! A creature flashed in the frame, like two drops of water similar to the Nutcracker from The Last of Us, although the picture has nothing to do with the game. Moreover, the Russian localization of the horror title is seriously misleading fans of The Last of Us.
All this caused a lively discussion among the community and this is what people write in the comments under the video:
If I were Naughty Dog, I would sue, and our localizers seem to be fans of the last of us, who recognized the well-known game in this trailer)
Original title: "Gaia" Localizers translating from unknown language: "the last of us" Seriously what nonsense.
Although this is another "creation", but then why take famous images from the game and pass it off as your own ?! I think this is not correct and perhaps this is done in order to attract those who fumble. And there are a lot of them, considering that the series is now in development. which I am looking forward to
original name: Gaia. Localizers: "The Last of Us". Obviously parasitic on the game "The Last of Us".
We can not disagree with the opinion of the commentators, but the film is still worth watching.
Directed by Jaco Bauer. Cast: Monique Rockman ("Number 37"), Karel Nel ("Bloody Ride"), Alex van Dyck ("Poachers") and Anthony Oseyemi ("Experimental Witch").
