Tess and Joel agree, unaware that, with her immunity to the fungus, Ellie is an important target for the military and has a bounty on her head. The mission to transport the girl to the appointed place fails, as the local branch of the Cicadas is destroyed and now Joel will have to take on the task of rescuing the child again, which reminds him of his dead daughter. Whether the man will cope with this mission will be shown in the upcoming TV series The Last of Us, whose release date will be on January 15, 2023.

As the project developed, it became known that the series was also marked by the performers of key characters. Joel will be performed by Pedro Pascal, and his young companion Ellie was entrusted to play Bella Ramsay. The young actress starred in the Game of Thrones, where she already played side by side with Pascal.
