Scream 5 Brings Sidney Prescott Back Home to Woodsboro

A new fan poster for Scream 5 features the exciting return to Woodsboro of Sidney Prescott, the current protagonist of the beloved slasher franchise.
Creepy new fan poster Scream 5" welcomes series protagonist Sydney Prescott home in Woodsboro. The slasher franchise arguably remains one of the best examples of the genre, despite the fact that its three sequels have never matched the success of the first film.
Though "Scream 5"was officially confirmed, the sequel still failed to assure fans that Neve Campbell, who to date has been played by Prescott in all four films, "Creek", will return. So far, the only confirmed original actors are David Arquette, who plays Dewey Riley, and Courteney Cox, who plays his wife Gail Weathers. The new film's directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are certainly making a concerted effort to get Campbell back on board. However, the 46-year-old star has yet to make a commitment.
While fans wait to see the final decision regarding Campbell's participation in "Creek 5" , one fan in particular has gone ahead and created a poster for the upcoming film. The work was posted in the account Creepy Duck Design Instagram and has received very positive feedback from fans online so far. Depicting the mask of the killer Ghostface of the cult franchise in huge sizes, you can see the car driving through the fog into the abyss of the open mouth of the Scream. The poster's slogan simply reads: "Welcome home, Sidney." Check out the full poster below:

While the poster suggests that Campbell will return for "Scream 5" , the journey into darkness it offers is also quite fitting given that fans know nothing about the plot of the upcoming film. Some say the fifth Creek" , which reportedly aims to focus more on staying true to the original 1996 film, would have been better without Campbell. Since the character has appeared in every film in the franchise to date, it could be argued that it's time to move the story in a new direction.
Although this is indeed a plausible option, but how exactly is the fifth " Creek" could have stayed true to the original film without the focus on Sidney Prescott, it wouldn't have been easy. However, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett have already established themselves more than capable horror directors . With their creative energy behind the film, it's possible that " Scream 5" maybe just something that will rejuvenate the entire franchise.
So far, it looks like this latest entry in the franchise will arrive in 2021, though no official announcement has yet been made. It's safe to say that until Campbell confirms his participation, many fans will sincerely hope that the fan poster from Creepy Duck Design accurate. For those who can't imagine the film" Creek" without Campbell, it really is time to welcome Sidney Prescott to the quaint California town for " Scream 5" .
