Hyper Scape by Ubisoft - Everything You Need to Know About the Royal Rumble

As we mentioned above, Hyper Scape is a new battle royale game from Ubisoft. As in other games of this genre, 100 players will be thrown into the futuristic city of Neo-Arcadia and will be forced to fight for possession of the crown, which will appear at the end of the match. Unlike Fortnite and Apex Legends, players will have the opportunity to win without being the last man standing. By the end of the match, the Hyper Scape crown will appear and any team that can hold it for 45 seconds (or be the last team standing on the ground) will be declared the winner. 

In addition to the crown, Hyper Scape will also shake up the genre by introducing a new feature called Hacks, which will show up as lootable items similar to weapons. Haki will give players special offensive and defensive skills, such as the ability to turn invisible or deploy a wall around their team to help their team gain an advantage over the other team. Additionally, hacks (and weapons) can be upgraded in-game by interacting with the Fusion mechanic, making them even more powerful. 

Ubisoft's Hyper Scape Battle Royale game is currently undergoing a limited-time PC Tech Test, which will run from July 2nd to July 7th. If you want to try it, you can earn key via Twitch Drops while watching a partner stream of the game. Unfortunately the keys are very limited and only available in North America and Europe at the time of writing. If you manage to catch the key, you'll only be able to play as part of three teams, but Ubisoft has promised that a solo mode will be released later during the test. On top of that, there's also a free 10-tier battle pass that players can work their way through with the transition to future tests and the full launch of the game. 

While an official release date for Hyper Scape has yet to be announced, it's quite rare to officially announce a game with a test that can be played on the same day. "We're thrilled that players can try it out right now, and we can't wait to hear what they think," said Hyper Scape Senior Producer Graham Jennings. "Hyper Scape is a universe that is built to grow, and our players will see it begin even during our technical testing."
