'John Wick 5' confirmed by Lionsgate
Lionsgate has confirmed the development of John Wick 5 and the advancement of the John Wick video game. The company aims to create a regular series of releases, including the main series of films and spin-offs.
At Lionsgate's latest earnings presentation, President Joe Drake expressed satisfaction with John Wick 4's box office performance and expressed his desire to continue working on the franchise. The main goal is to establish a regular cadence of releases, including films, spin-offs and television series.
The first planned spin-off is Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas. Three more projects are also in development, including John Wick 5 and a television series called The Continental, which will be released soon. Lionsgate promises to maintain regular releases throughout the franchise.
The company also continues to discuss the possibility of creating a video game based on the John Wick universe. In November, Lionsgate said it saw the potential to create a major AAA game based on the franchise. Several games have already been released, including the strategy game "John Wick Hex", the VR game "John Wick Chronicles", and the appearance of the character John Wick in Fortnite and Payday 2.
