Streamer who threatened to 'shoot' at Twitch HQ banned again after being allowed to return
Twitch streamer narcissawright has received another permanent ban from the site after the streaming community called on Twitch to lift her most recent ban despite a threat to "shell" the platform's headquarters.
In 2014, Narcissa, formerly known as CosmoWright, set the world speed record for completing Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This feat has secured them a place as one of the most accomplished speedrunners in the community.
On March 22, 2022, after receiving an indefinite ban from the website, Wright took to Twitter and posted threats to "shoot people" at Twitch headquarters, although Dexerto mentioned in comments that these threats were not legal.
Following an appeal on March 29, her ban was reduced to 22 days, sparking outrage from the Twitch community.
Narcissawright Receives Second Permanent Twitch Ban
On April 7, just a few days after her permanent ban was reduced, the streamer revealed on Twitter that she was hit by yet another indefinite ban.
“Twitch gave me another permanent suspense today. I guess all the answerers screaming and screaming will be happy. However, I sent an appeal,” she wrote.
This comes just a week after Mizkiff explained his thoughts on the situation during a March 31 broadcast. The co-founder of OTK criticized Twitch for its "incredible" and "unfair" treatment of bans.
He went on to explain that Destiny received a permanent ban for violating hate conduct rules, which he felt was "less severe" compared to Narcissa's threat to shoot down Twitch headquarters.
Narcissawright recently returned to streaming after being banned indefinitely in 2018.
That doesn't let the permanent ban stop her from creating content, as she was making plans for her YouTube book club stream shortly after the news broke.
At the time of writing, it is not known why the creator received another permanent ban, but we will be sure to update the post if any more information comes up.
