RTX 3070 Ti Spotted in Finished PC Specs

We recently spotted the RTX 3070 Ti on a list of pre-built Lenovo Legion PCs at a German retail store. The specs show the card with 16GB of VRAM - which is significantly more than the 3080's 10GB, and that could make it interesting when it comes to benchmark tests compared to a higher-end card. It looks like this is an Nvidia trend: its future 16 GB 3060 will be have 4 GB more memory than its brother Ti.

This amount of VRAM is in line with the AMD Radeon RX 6800 and 6900 series, which can increase the longevity of the intended graphics card as games start to consume more VRAM. So far, there has been little information about the RTX 3070 Ti, although the first mentions of it appeared back in September 2020, before the video card was talked about again in December in the EEC list and in the HP OEM driver list .

When it comes to the potential performance of the 3070 Ti, you might expect it to be somewhere between the 3070 and 3080, but with its healthy VRAM maintenance, it might be closer to the latest GPU than you might expect. On the other hand, while the 3080 has less VRAM, it uses faster GDDR6X memory, while the 3070 Ti will likely use the slower GDDR6 RAM found in the 3070. And that doesn't even take into account the number of CUDA cores. However, we will have to wait for the test results to get a better idea of ​​it.

If this card hits the shelves, you can expect it to cost around $600, nestled neatly between its $499 to $699 brethren. Although, if this card is due to be released in the next few months, good luck getting the card for the price, close to its retail since we recently saw that RTX 3060 costs double its MSRP before launching it.

There were reports that  RTX 3070 Ti has been canceledand Nvidia still has time to surprise us by announcing the RTX 3070 Super, but this latest leak just keeps the rumor mill going. While there is no official word from Nvidia about the card, we still cannot be sure if this card will be released.
