Destiny 2 Update 3.0.0.1 Description: Beyond Light, Europe & More

patch

Bungie has officially previewed Destiny 3.0.0.1 Beyond Light Update 2, which means there will be no more delays with the release of the Year 4 expansion —here are all the early patch notes ahead of the release of the Destiny update on Tuesday, November 10th.

patch

The next era of Destiny is finally here —on Tuesday, Destiny 2's first Year 4 expansion, Beyond Light, launches in all its glory on PlayStation XNUMX, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.

This is truly a new step in the evolution of the game. Guardians will be able to travel to Europe for the first time and return to the Cosmodrome in a new war against Darkness. Destiny is finally "adding" weapons, unlocking the new dark power of "stasis" and much, much more.

Bungie is expected to release the full Destiny 2: Beyond Light patch notes at launch, but we've prepared those for you ahead of time as well, starting with the downtime details.

When will Destiny 3.0.0.1 Update 2 be released?

Bungie has officially locked Destiny 2 Update 3.0.0.1 on Tuesday, November 10th. Downtime is expected to start 18 hours earlier. Here's when the simple one starts:

  • 19:00 PST (Monday)
  • 22:00 EST (Monday)
  • 3:00 GMT (Tuesday)
  • 9:00 AM AEDT (Tuesday)

For Us, the schedule of all work to launch the update looks like the screenshot below:

Beyond Light Campaign

The expansion's plot re-imagines the Exo Stranger from the original game and takes us to Europe (see below). On the icy moon, we will fight Eramis, the Fallen Kell, "intent on taking the Darkness."

The Guardians will also be reunited with Eris Morn and the Drifter, who are both called to Europa to explore Jupiter's moon. There, the Exo Stranger will reveal that she comes from a timeline where the Darkness has won, and we must stop this.

We'll leave the rest to you to discover as you play through the story - here's the Beyond Light story trailer, just to whet your appetite for adventure.

New destinations: Europe, Cosmodrome

Beyond Light adds two destinations to Destiny 2. One, the Cosmodrome, will be familiar to many Guardians; The "Old Russia" patrol zone was an important part of the franchise's original name and played a key role in much of its history.

The second, Europa, ties into the Beyond Light main storyline. It will become the main focus for expansion 4 years. A moon that orbits Jupiter has been discussed in Destiny for a long time, but this is the first time Guardians have been able to visit it.

All players will be able to visit Europe and a "new gaming experience" at the Cosmodrome. However, story missions will not be available without Beyond Light.

Bungie has enabled an early expansion setup, which means you can start the update before Destiny 2's upcoming downtime begins.

Here are the notes for Destiny 3.0.0.1 Beyond Light Update 2 provided by Bungie .
