NVIDIA To Release New RTX 3000 Anti-Mining Graphics Cards In The Near Future
The Greens want to even the odds, but will they succeed?
NVIDIA is preparing updated versions of the RTX 3000 series graphics cards. Although we have already gone through this and did not work, a feature of the new cards will be protection against cryptocurrency mining, which seems to be built into the GPU level. And if the RTX 3060 was previously reported, now there is information about more powerful solutions.
German insider Igor Wallosek of Igor'sLAB reported that Nvidia has begun supplying its AIB partners with new versions of chips that are equipped with mining protection.
And users began to post photos of boxes on the network, the inscriptions on which indicate that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card still exists.
This model itself has not yet been officially announced, perhaps just because of the new chips. Judging by the photo, the new product will receive only 12 GB of video memory, and at least MSI will release it.
Additionally, the reality of the 3080 Ti is confirmed by the media. This model reportedly uses the GA102-202/302 GPU instead of the GA102-200. The mass production of this GPU has already begun, so the appearance of the serial GeForce RTX 3080 Ti on the market is only a matter of time.
If this card really gets good protection against mining, then we can talk about at least two models of "deficit-free" gaming video accelerators - 3060 and 3080 Ti.
