Nintendo Switch Pro Mentioned in Latest Console Software Update
So far, there are only rumors about the existence of a new version of the Nintendo Switch with the Pro prefix.
Nintendo has denied the existence of the console time and time again, but many industry analysts and insiders claim that it does exist. With the release of the Nintendo Switch 12.0.0 software update, there are several references to what is very similar to the Nintendo Switch Pro.
Nintendo Switch Pro - myth or expectation?
We've often talked about the improved Nintendo Switch. With many gaming industry leaders and analysts agreeing that the console's hardware is too old to keep up with current ports, a hardware upgrade is long overdue.
According to those few who raise software for intellectual analysis и data analysis to a new level, there seem to be mentions of what could be a Nintendo Switch Pro or something.

About my earlier tweet about update 12.0.0 being able to upgrade the dock firmware...
There is also this setting:
"is_crda_fw_update_supported"
"CrdA" = Cradle (Dock) for Aula. Aula is the codename for the new model.

It's worth mentioning that there is a very limited game library that offers 60 FPS on the Nintendo Switch when it comes to third-party games. It's no secret that unless you're Panic Button or Saber Interactive, your game will have a hard time keeping up with other versions of the game on other consoles.
Ghostrunner is the best example of this and has sacrificed visual quality and performance significantly, and this has happened again with Apex Legends .
While other consoles run the same game at 60, many studios have to struggle to get their games to run at 30fps on legacy Nintendo hardware for the Nintendo Switch.
The original games have no problem running on the console with good performance, but with the recent release of PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, games will only become more demanding and their Nintendo Switch ports will continue to suffer as a result.
In light of yesterday's announcement of E3 2021 and with Nintendo being one of the biggest sponsors and names on the list, the event would be the right time to announce the successor to the Nintendo Switch or an updated model similar to the 3DS and 3DSXL.
For now, we can only hope that Nintendo realizes the importance of improving the hardware on their consoles, and quickly.
