This is a unique piece of equipment that will help you get into the dark areas of the VGM or explore the city at night. The Ultraviolet Flashlight uses ultraviolet light to stun and damage the infected, and in turn makes them vulnerable to easy kills or quick escape in dangerous situations.
The only major downside to using a UV flashlight is that its battery drains fairly quickly. Although it only takes a few seconds to recharge, that time can sometimes be worth a life. As such, it's important to upgrade your UV Flashlight if you're planning to explore Dying Light 2's open world mostly at night.
