How to Defeat Eramis, the Dark Kell: Destiny 2 Boss Beyond Light
You have entered the "new era" of Destiny 2, completed most of the Beyond Light campaign, and now your only choice is to defeat Eramis, the Kell of Darkness. Here's how to defeat her in the final boss fight.
The main villain of Beyond Light is Eramis, a former Shipstealer who used the power of Darkness to "destroy the Light". At first she sends her lieutenants to stop you, but eventually you will have to face the Dark Kell.
Eramis appears in the last mission of the Beyond Light campaign, aptly named "Kell of Darkness". Until now, the Guardians have only seen her in Destiny 2 cutscenes or spoken to her over the comm channels. It's time to meet her face to face.
If you want to activate the last mission, you will need 1150 Strength. If you haven't reached that milestone yet, be sure to get a few more rewards before you hit it.
When you appear in the game, you are given the task: "Hunt down Eramis."
Eventually, you'll make your way through Gale's Watch, where Eramis - armed to the teeth with Stasis and Fallen Weapons - waits in the throne room.
How to beat Eramis in Beyond Light
The Eramis boss fight starts immediately, with Shanks and Fallen Vandals popping up to surround you when the Dark Kell opens fire. The only thing to watch out for is her stasis attacks - if you're frozen, you'll have a hard time.
Damage her with everything you have in your arsenal and bring her health down to about three quarters. This will trigger the first cinematic cutscene of the fight.
Eramis then traps you in a stasis freeze, incapacitating your Ghost and taking your Shadow Shard. "No more light, no more darkness," she states before destroying the shard to prevent you from using Stasis. You break free and the fight resumes.

After that, the wall of the throne room comes down and Eramis escapes to several platforms overlooking Europa. Your Super is fully charged.
In this battle, Eramis fires several rockets, and if it hits you, you will freeze. Free yourself with the action button - "B" on the controller, "Mouse Button 3" on the keyboard - and use your super to eliminate Fallen Enemies around the platforms.
The Dark Cell is still vulnerable to any Stasis attacks; make sure you keep using your abilities on her where possible. As she gets weaker, she releases more stasis. However, it will be pretty easy to dodge if you run around.
As soon as you reduce her health to a quarter, she will fall to the ground; all you have to do is finish her off and it will trigger another cutscene.
After defeating Eramis, she (spoilers!) freezes in place, captured by Stasis. She will most likely break free and appear in the Beyond Light raid, Deep Stone Crypt, or become a regular villain in the Season of the Hunt, but she has been stopped for now.
