Horizon Forbidden West: How to destroy Fire Glitter (Red Crystals)
While playing Horizon Forbidden West, players will encounter red crystals known as Fire Glitter. Here is a guide to help you understand what they do and how to get rid of them.
Today's hit Horizon Forbidden West got players excited with its gorgeous graphics and incredible gameplay. Brave Aloy faces a bunch of cunning enemies, treacherous challenges and puzzles, and other forms of inconvenient obstacles.
One of these barriers to consider is fiery brilliance. His inclusion in Horizon Forbidden West will prevent players from doing certain things, but thankfully not for too long.
What is Fire Glitter in Horizon Forbidden West?
Fireshine Crystals are "anomalous growths" consisting of crystallized mushrooms that protrude from certain walls, blocking paths. They will not be permanent obstacles in the game, as you can remove them using a specific device.
Horizon Forbidden West provides the official description of the substance via the game's scan tool: "Hybridized crystalline and fungal growth of unknown origin. Invulnerable to hit. Cleaning required special equipment.”
How to Remove Red Crystals in the Forbidden West
As you naturally progress through the story, you will find special equipment called Igniter "Igniter". This is not a spoiler, as you physically cannot progress in the game without it, and you get it relatively early in the game.
Here's how you can get the item and start clearing the Starlight you encounter:
- Play Horizon Forbidden West until you reach main quest "Death door»
- Once you have received instructions on how to create «Igniter» go in search of ingredients.
- You will need 1x Leaplasher Spark Coil и 1x Deepwater Kindle Weed Oil
- Once you have them, create an igniter
You should now have a special new spear that Aloy can use to destroy any red crystals she comes across. This will unlock many new doors and paths, usually guarding treasures and other valuable items.
