Where to find sulfur ore in V Rising
As soon as you start expanding your castle's production capabilities in V rising with the help of stations like the sawmill and the tannery, upgrades will start to require more specialized materials than the basics you can find in abundance near the starting area. One of these materials, which can be difficult to find, is sulfur ore.
Whenever you travel through Farbane Forest, it's a good idea to keep an eye out for any rare resources you happen to find. To find sulfur, look for mining nodes with a very pale yellow tint, as shown above. To mine it, you can hit the knot with any type of weapon, although maces deal extra damage when mined, meaning you'll run faster if you use the blunt approach. You also need to upgrade your weapon to at least the bone-enhanced version.
The best place to farm sulfur in V Rising
While you can find random sulfur ore nodes around the world, just like copper, you're better off mining it from a location where you can find it in bulk. In that case, try the appropriately named Bandit's Sulfur Quarry, shown above, on the western edge of Farbane Forest.
However, before heading to the quarry, you must ensure that you are prepared to deal with enemies in the area, such as dangerous bombers. We recommend getting around 32 gear points to at least match the highest level enemies you are likely to find in the area.
Using sulfur ore in V Rising
The most likely use of sulfur ore is to use it to make explosives, which are especially useful for collecting ore from large nodes that cannot be mined with weapons alone. In order to craft explosives, you'll need an alchemy table, which you can unlock by hunting Clive the Firestarter and taking his V Blood.
