Guide to Clans and Archetypes | All Characters Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt features six playable archetypes based on clans from the board game. Let's take a look at each, their features, perks and specializations.

В Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodhunt There are seven playable classes. They are based on clans from the original board game and more are expected to be added in the future.

In the Vampire: The Masquerade lore, the clan of the vampire is the same as the clan of the one who turned him. Each of the clans has its own special abilities and weaknesses. One example of this is the Nosferatu, who receive vampiric disciplines that allow them to turn invisible and communicate with animals, but their appearance leaves a lot to be desired as they look like horrific monsters.

In Bloodhunt у each clan has two different archetypes, but they both share clan skills related to movement. Each archetype has general clan skills, as well as individual passive skills and skills of the archetype. At the time of writing, the game contains three clans with two archetypes each, and each of them has unique powers that fundamentally change the style of play.

Check all achievements, which you can earn by playing Vampire: The Masquerade -Bloodhunt

Clan Brujah

Extremely hot-tempered and emotional guys. This is a clan of rule-defying rebels and bullies who are not to be trifled with.

In-game description

The Brujah clan has two archetypes - Brute and Vandal. Their clan skills allow them to make a huge jump. This is especially useful in a game like bloodhunt,  since the current map of the game has a lot of verticality, and the ability to instantly escape to the roof is a huge advantage for Brujah.

Brute's passive skill restores up to 50% of their maximum health when they are not damaged, while their archetype skill sends out an energy shockwave that can block enemy projectiles. The Vandal's passive skill reduces the damage he takes from enemies at close range, while his archetype skill allows him to slam the ground and create a shockwave that sends foes back into the air.

Brute

The Brute comes to the aid of allies, protecting them and preventing enemies from getting close.

Always ready to fight. Their intentions are easy to read by their outward appearance: the Brujah are eager to pulverize the enemy. They wear light clothing that does not hinder movement and allows them to hit painfully, but they are not at all interested in protection.

  • Role in combat: Damage over time attacks
  • Style: Rough, massive weapons and violent attacks
  • Motivation: Rebel idealists
  • Character: Hot-tempered, free-spirited and aggressive

Brute Powers/Abilities

  • wave shock: Creates a shock wave that can deflect bullets.
  • Iron Grip: Brute recovers up to half health when not taking damage.
  • Soaring jump: The character makes a powerful leap forward.

Vandal

The Vandal imbues his fist with unimaginable strength and comes face to face with his enemies, gaining the upper hand through resilience and devastating blows.

Clan Nosferatu

Masters of espionage in the world of the undead and masters of the subway. Gather information and then profitably sell it.

Description in the game

The Nosferatu clan has two archetypes - Rogue and Saboteur. This beloved clan of monstrous vampires has the ability to become invisible for a few seconds. The passive reveals a red trail in the air that only they can see, which leads to other players who have been injured. Their archetypal skill creates bats that explore the area and show the location of nearby enemies by showing their outlines through walls. The Saboteur's passive skill allows him to become semi-invisible after he crouches, while his archetype skill allows them to create a poison gas mine that deals damage over time.

Saboteur

Moving from shadow to shadow, the saboteur uses protective devices to punish enemies who have lost their vigilance.

They dress practical, while being indifferent not only to fashion, but also to cleanliness. Nosferatu choose nondescript clothing, which makes it easier to hide their ugliness and not attract attention.

  • Role in combat: Increased damage attacks
  • Style: Stealthy and well-aimed
  • Motivation: Knowledge
  • Character: Introverted, inquisitive and cautious

Powers / skills of the Saboteur

  • Sewage bomb: Throw a bomb that explodes and releases poisonous gas when enemies approach.
  • Invisible passage: Reduces visibility when crouching.
  • disappearance: You briefly become invisible and move quickly.

Slick

By subduing animals and his own inner Beast, the slicker gains unsurpassed abilities to track down and detect enemies.

  • scent of the beast: Enemies heavily wounded leave a trail that reveals their recent movements.
  • disappearance: You briefly become invisible and move quickly.

Clan Toreador

Their talents and beauty are just camouflage for ruthless hunters. It is the bullfighters who are behind the legends of vampires who seduce and lure victims with beauty, passion and sensuality.

Description from the game

Clan Toreador has two archetypes - Muse and Tempter. Their clan skills allow them to project an illusory image in front of them, which they can use to teleport at close range or use as a feint. Musa's passive refreshes their active cooldowns, allowing them to immediately cast their abilities, while their tech skills act as a healing regeneration aura that restores Musa and any nearby allies. The Deceiver's passive skill allows them to enchant mortals on the map, making it easier to feed them and potentially avoiding penalties for violating the Masquerade in their presence. Their archetypal skill can temporarily blind opponents, rendering them helpless.

Muse

If an ally falters, the muse rushes to the rescue and inspires him with a bewitching song for further struggle.

Appearance and the right wardrobe are very important to them. The bullfighters even dress up for battle as for a holiday, because the main thing is to look good.

  • Role in combat: Support
  • Style: Distant battle
  • Motivation: Pleasure
  • Character: Sensual, cunning and sociable

Muses powers/skills

  • invigorating voice: Tune in for recovery. While you use this ability, it heals you and allies around you. If you take damage or use power while the ability is active, the healing will be interrupted.
  • The last act: Immediately resets cooldowns and allows you to use powers when you are near death.
  • Projection or jerk: You create and emit a projection of your own that you can dash towards.

Tempter

Tempters are always glad to be able to show off their beauty and dazzle the enemy with it.

  • Kindred Charm: Surrounding neutrals become enchanted and temporarily friendly to you and your team.
  • Projection or jerk: You create and emit a projection of your own that you can dash towards.

Clan Venturo

The Ventrue, a clan of kings, have no equal in their lust for power. Trials only make the Ventrue more determined, and no one should stop them.

Clan Ventura has one archetype so far - the Peacekeepers. Peacekeepers cut through the battlefield like a hot knife through butter, preventing the enemy from using their forces and forcing them to surrender. Like true Ventrue, peacekeepers seek to control those around them. Anyone who gets in their way, it's better to get out of the way as soon as possible.

Peacemaker

  • Role in combat: Tank
  • Style: Defensive, balanced, persistent
  • Motivation: Force
  • Character: Domineering, proud, rational

Deceiver powers/skills

  • marble flesh: Briefly hardens your skin, granting invulnerability while you are not attacking anyone.
  • Conquering Presence: The movement speed of nearby enemies is reduced. The Ventrue also know when an enemy is within range of their presence ability.
  • Rampant onslaught: Dash forward to deal moderate damage and briefly subdue enemies. Pacified enemies will not be able to use their powers while this effect is active.

So, those were all the characters you can currently play as in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt. As soon as the developers add new clans or archetypes, we will definitely reflect these changes in our guide!
