Bloodhunt: Blood Resonance Explained and How to Get It
How Blood Resonance works in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt and how to use it to your advantage.
bloodhunt is a new battle royale game set in the universe Vampire: The Masquerade . Naturally, it has a lot of gameplay features that revolve around lifesteal, one of which is Blood Resonance to boost stats.
Despite how important it is Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodhunt doesn't explain the blood resonance system very well. In this guide, we'll take a look at what it is and how it can be beneficial to your time with the game.
Bloodhunt Resonance Types
Resonance is passive bonuses that can be applied to your character throughout the match , and the only way to get them is suck the blood of certain NPCs that have "Resonant Blood" .
The only way to find these NPCs is to press the X key to activate your heightened senses, which will then allow you to see colored aura around certain NPCs.
As you can see below, there are four different colors that refer to different bonuses. Each bonus has three different ranks that you can get, and each Resonant NPC you enjoy gives you one rank of its specific color/type.
- Sanguine (pink) - increases health regeneration per second. (Levels 0,5, 1,5 and 3,0)
- Melancholic (purple) - reduces the cooldown of clan skills. (Levels: -10%, -25% and -50%)
- Choleric (orange) - increases melee damage. (Levels: +10%, +25% and +50%)
- Phlegmatic (turquoise) - reduces the cooldown of archetype skills. (Levels: -10%, -25% and -50%)
Whenever you spawn in a match, you need to immediately turn on your heightened vision and look for any resonant NPCs. Of course, keep the effects of each one in mind, as you'll want to choose which buff supports your personal play style.
As other players acquire more equipment and research more, these NPCs will decrease in number, so grab them while you can.
Bloodhunt: How to Unlock Resonance Slots
During any match bloodhunt you can only fill three slots from any of the four resonance categories. However, there is a way to keep adding more, and that is with Diablerization (In simple terms, diablerie is when one vampire feeds on another vampire as a mortal.) Enemies that basically kill them.
When an enemy is down, you need to run up and hold F to drain them instead of just killing them.
By using diablerie on multiple enemies, you can effectively double or triple the number of Resonance slots you can use during a single match.
