Welcome to Hogwarts: Chapter 1 - Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough

Welcome to Hogwarts is the second main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will take you through all the objectives of the main mission "Welcome to Hogwarts".

Demand: Starts after completion Path to Hogwarts
Awards: 260 XP
Introductory information: You're late to the selection ceremony and Professor Black is extremely unhappy. After a thrashing, he still leaves a chance to pass the distribution. Having seated you on a stool in the center of the hall and hoisted the Magic Sorting Hat on your head, the official part of the ceremony begins. Based on the results of your answers, the magical headdress will be determined by the faculty for you.

Sorting Hat

You and Professor Fig made it through Gringotts alive and found that you are the key to understanding why some ancient magical lore has been dormant for centuries. However, what all this means is still a mystery. You've finally made it to Hogwarts, and after choosing your home and spending your first night at school, you're now ready for your school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Find your living room

Leave your dorm and follow the yellow markers on your minimap to get to the living room.

Introduce yourself to your housemates

Talk to each of the three housemates indicated by yellow markers in the area. When talking to your neighbors, feel free to choose any dialogue option you want.

Meet Professor Weasley near the living room

After you've spoken to all three housemates, resume following the yellow mini-map at the bottom where you can meet Professor Weasley. She will give you Wizard's Guide, an essential compendium to help you on your journey and exploration of Hogwarts and beyond. Among other things, the Book will allow you to practice your magic and learn magical knowledge.

Now follow Professor Weasley outside the living room.

Collect Manual Page

Now cast Revelio's spell on the sculpture to find and assemble the manual page (Bust of Ravenclaw) and then add it to your book. Collection of pages magic guide - This is one of the ways to complete additional tasks, which are the only way to gain experience. Follow the on-screen instructions through the Guide and when you're done, take your time learning the rest of it. When you're done studying, follow Professor Weasley.

Follow Professor Weasley

Keep following Professor Weasley and you will soon learn about Flying flames (Floo Flames), which act as fast travel points in the game. Follow the on-screen prompts through the map to familiarize yourself with the mechanics, then quickly travel to the Central Hall via the teleporter.

You are now in the Central Hall of Hogwarts. Keep following Professor Weasley until she tells you which classes you need to attend today and where you can go to replenish supplies lost on your way to Hogwarts.

Talk to Professor Fig

Now talk to Professor Fig, standing next to you at the fountain of the Central Hall. Reopen the map and follow the on-screen instructions to continue. You can now attend Defense Against the Dark Arts or Spell Classes. We have moved to spells.
