Destiny 2 Beyond Light: Deep Stone Crypt Raid - All We Know

Destiny 2 players will be able to dive into the Deep Stone Crypt raid very soon, set to release on November 10th.
As with every previous expansion pack, Beyond the Light introduces an exciting new raid for teams from all over the world. Here's what we know about it.
Everyone loves a good raid. Several Guardians band together to form a tight-knit fist of power for hours, all with the goal of overcoming the raid and acquiring some incredible treasure.
Some players consider loot to be secondary. A huge sense of pride comes from winning the raid itself, but even more so from the fact that you are the first team in the world to defeat it. Deep Stone Crypt will be no different, with Bungie even warning of delays in "world's first" results.
Beyond the Light
2019's Shadowkeep has been entertaining gamers for a year now, but like everything else, it needs some fresh blood, and it comes in the form of Beyond Light. Two weeks ago, Bungie showed off their new content in the Destiny 2 Beyond Light trailer.
The latest expansion brings a new icy planet called Europa and the usual array of new weapons, items, and enemies.
In addition to Beyond Light, Bungie also recently announced "Hunting Season" as part of their content plans for the next few months. A mix of paid and free content, Season of the Hunt will run until the end of January.
Next generation
For gamers buying content now and moving to a next-generation console, the good news is that your data will be preserved.
Any players who purchase Beyond Light and own Destiny 2 on PS4 and Xbox One will see their copies updated automatically. This means that all saved data and progress will carry over to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Deep stone crypt
Also, we know that Beyond Light is of course adding a new Deep Stone Crypt Raid to Destiny 2.
Raids do not need to be completed in one sitting, given that they take several hours to complete. But these are meat offerings filled with action. It took about six plus hours to complete Shadowkeep's Garden of Salvation.
Bungie has announced some rules for the upcoming Deep Stone Crypt Raid:
- ➤In Competitive Mode, all players get 20 power points below each battle for 24 hours.
- ➤Artifact Power will be disabled in Competitive Mode.
- ➤1230 Power - the goal of your team is to be at the limit of all fights.
- ➤Being above 1230 will not provide additional benefits in the final fight.
First in the world
As is the case with every new raid that appears in the game, the race begins for the first team to defeat it.
In an official statement, Bungie addressed the data privacy circumstances of the raid:
“After all the immediate fanfare and fuss that follows the checkered flag, our data scientists will spend extra time reviewing the results of the finishing team. Expect the official announcement of World First to come a little later than usual."
Spoilers Beyond the Light
- Partial change of the game engine. It hasn't changed much since Halo Reach. (it is not entirely clear what the source meant, the game has a different engine)
- Raid armor looks incredible. It is worth farming at least for the sake of appearance and further use as an ornament.
— The raid revolver will be of the 150th archetype.
- Hawkmoon will be back. Crit hits will stack on fast successful hits, a stack of hits will only affect the damage of the last bullet, a stack of 3 or more hits will kill the guardian with a one-shot to the BODY, but ONLY with the last bullet.
- The plot company "Beyond the Light" includes 6 missions and several adventures.
— Variks will become the vendor of Europe.
— A new exotic from the season pass will be the Duality shotgun. When firing from the hip, it shoots shot, and when fired from aimed fire, it shoots one bullet (as Companion).
- Vault of Glass raid in season 13 or 14.
Destiny 2 Deep Stone Crypt Raid will be available with the Beyond Light DLC, which releases on November 10th.
