Destiny 2 Season of Greatness. Everything You Need to Know

Time for a return to the Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2 Season of Majesty.

Destiny 2 Season of the Great is out! As we enter a new quarter, Destiny 2 players gear up for the first new season of 2020. Fans have one question in mind: what will be the new tests. But that's not all, there are plenty of changes to complement the return of the popular Crucible event.

But before I dive into the specific changes to Destiny 2's Season of the Worthy, it's worth touching on some of the quality of life changes aimed at improving the overall experience. So, without further ado, let's get down to business.

Season of the Great release date

The release date for Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy is March 10, 2020. In other words, he arrived just in time for the next Destiny 2 Weekly Reset after a period of inactivity. Trials of Osiris, however, will not be available until next weekend.

In terms of costs, you won't spend any money if you buy the Digital Deluxe version of the game. However, if you only purchased the Standard variant, you will have to purchase 100 Silver in-game from the Tower's Eververse store, which is $10 real money.

Armor 2.0 has changed

Bungie has acknowledged that impacting sources, leveling, and minimum gear can be quite a chore as player collections increase, especially considering that armor also has to drop with a certain elemental attachment.

Now, after editing Destiny 2 for armor 2.0 , you'll be able to change the elemental affinity of your gear - at a cost - and seasonal mod slots will cover the season the armor is in, its predecessor, and the next season. This means you can last a little longer with this prime gear and the heartache of finding some stellar gear with the wrong element will be a thing of the past.

And subclasses too

As always, Bungie keeps a close eye on how popular or powerful certain subclasses can be. So, naturally, there are changes to how subclasses work in the Season of the Worthy (and beyond). The two big changes are Warlock's melee, which has more range to account for its cooldown, and Titanium Barricades, which now have 20 percent more health but take additional damage from energy weapons.

Then there are minor changes to all subclasses to lower their overall power level before the trials. Finally, there are additional buffs and tweaks to all dominant subclasses (Stormcaller upper, Striker lower and Arcstrider lower) and weaker ones (Void Shooter lower, Nightstalker lower and Striker medium) to normalize their abilities across the board. .

What weapon nerfs do we need to know about?

The day came when we all knew: Izanagi's burden will now feel hit by Nerf Hammer, and the previous buffs from the Shadowkeep sniper rifle have been cancelled. Grenade launchers, especially those with an aggressive frame, have been adjusted to a rapid-fire frame on top of the damage reduction for main enemies.

Lord of the Wolves is also suffering from a nerf: this time he loses some accuracy when Release the Wolves is active. The last word sees a decrease in the level of his power. Shotguns are also getting nerfs and merged rifles suffer reduction to their overall range and damage.

All is not lost, though, because auto rifles finally have a few buffs that will boost their survivability a bit. Bungie has stated that the buffs are made with the Crucible in mind, but we will likely see differences in PvE as well.

In the last trailer before launch, we received additional clues about the new Exotic. Trailer also shows the new bunkers that have been hidden by Rasputin all this time and now need to be cleared of enemies.

Trials of Osiris is back

For some, the Trials of Osiris was EVERYTHING! When that disappeared, depression set in. Years have passed, and there was not the slightest noise about his return, leaving Bungie without proper PvP activity. In Destiny 2 Season Greatness, the Trials are making their grand comeback.

Here, teams of three compete against each other with limited resources, and only the best teams with the most coordinated strategies and an impeccable winning streak will climb the Lighthouse. They will also receive bonus loot to sweeten their success.

When it comes to Season of the Worthysimply by competing in the Trials every weekend rewards pinnacle gear, but those who reach the pinnacle will boast additional loot and armor decorations. In addition, your power level affects your overall abilities, although additional levels from the seasonal artifact will not be included. The entry level is 960, and there are a trio of returning PvP cards from Destiny 1: Exodus Blue, The Cauldron и The Anomaly

New exotics, armors and legends

Several eagle-eyed Guardians believe they spied a third exotic hidden in the Season of Worthy trailer. It appears to appear after 59 seconds. If they are correct, the third exotic would be a heavy machine gun in the style of the one used by the Colossus. Despite this, Bungie has neither confirmed nor denied its existence.

New games, PvE games and more

We also know that there are Rasputin-based challenges, a new seal, new titles, and a new seasonal artifact called Warmind Khanjali with accompanying seasonal mods to unlock. New rewards, Seraph Towers, new Lost Sectors, and something called the "Guardian's Game" will all help save the Last City and fight Psion the Seeker who has escaped the Sundial.

As with all seasons, Bungie kept parts of the new season under wraps. Of course, the unknown is part of the fun, but we know that the last Destiny 2 roadmap gives us a little taste of what to expect over the next three months.

More ways to earn Pinnacle Rewards

In the middle of the season, as a result of expanding your activities, there will be an opportunity to earn Pinnacle rewards. This is a big issue for players who hit the level cap (which will go up to 1,010) as Pinnacle rewards are currently limited to a few weekly activities.

After this update completing Crucible, Strike and Gambit challenges will also give Pinnacle rewards.
