Destiny 2: Shadowkeep - Iron Banner Current Event
Bungie announced earlier this week that the latest Iron Banner event in Destiny 2 has gone through some changes. While the first half of the week only saw three cards in rotation, the playlist currently has a more traditional assortment of cards to play in the crucible once the update goes live.
"The first two days of Iron Banner were a deliberate showcase of the latest Crucible maps in Destiny 2," Bungie tweeted. "Starting Thursday, the rest of the week will feature a different mix of both new and classic cards."
This Iron Banner is the first in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, making it the first in the Game's eighth season, Season of the Immortals, too.
NOTE: To make the progression in strength more fair for all players, the developers have changed the contracts of the Iron Banner. Contracts will now expire at the start of each new season. As such, completed Iron Banner bounties from Season of the Forge will expire at the start of Season of the Drifter and will be removed from inventory.
Requirements for participation
Access to the Iron Banner opens after a weekly reset and closes a week after the next reset. Information about the weekly reset is presented on the official website on the page "Destiny 2 Ritual Reset Guide".
To participate in the current Iron Banner, players must:
- Complete the "Red War" story campaign.
- Reach level 20.
- Talk to Lord Saladin in the Tower courtyard.
Increasing reputation and receiving rewards
Lord Saladin will offer rewards to players who increase their reputation by giving him Iron Banner tokens. He can be found in the Tower by climbing the stairs next to the gunsmith.
- Completion of matches: After completing an Iron Banner match in the Crucible, players will receive Iron Banner Tokens that can be given to Lord Saladin. Players will receive tokens for each Iron Banner match completed, but more tokens will be awarded for winning matches than losing them.
- Weekly contracts: Players can earn additional Iron Banner tokens by completing weekly Iron Banner bounties. They can be completed by each character every day during the tournament.
- Emblems of the Iron Banner: Players can earn the Iron Banner emblem by completing various tasks during the tournament.
Strength level matters
- Power level matters in Iron Banner. Higher level players do more damage than low level players.
- Year XNUMX rewards, which not only include random bonuses but can be compatible with Year XNUMX modifiers, will also be available to all players.
- The power of rewards will be limited to players who have not purchased Destiny 2: Forsaken or Destiny 2: Forsaken - Annual Pass.
Important information
The following is important information that players should be aware of:
- Viewing Iron Banner Engrams: Viewing Iron Banner engrams will display armor from the previous season. We are working on a solution to this problem.
- Completion of the event: Once the event ends, Iron Banner bounties will expire. Players can leave them in their inventory and they will be removed when the new season starts. If you choose not to turn in your Seal Marks to Lord Saladin, you can save them for the next Iron Banner.
- Lord Saladin does not appear in the Tower: If Lord Saladin does not appear in the Tower during Iron Banner, players should return to orbit and re-enter the Tower. After the completion of the Iron Banner, players may still see Iron Banner-themed decorations in the Tower, however Lord Saladin will not appear there until the next tournament.
