We're talking about a newly added artifact that will be part of the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep expansion! The Gate Lord's Eye is the first seasonal artifact for the game, and we'll be looking at all the mods you'll be able to use once you get it.
How to get the Seasonal Artifact of the Gate Lord's Eye?
In case you didn't already know, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep brings with it a whole new kind of content, and it's nothing short of Season Pass, similar to Battle Passes in other popular games such as Fortnite и Apex Legends. But do not rush to get upset, because the developers have provided a free version of this pass, from which everyone can get it. If you increase your seasonal level to 7, you will unlock the Eye of the Gate Lord artifact.
How to Increase the Power of an Artifact?
Strengthening your artifact will be very important because it determines how many mods you can unlock at one time. The way to level up your artifact is purely based on earning XP. This will be used to both unlock and get power bonuses. Simply put, by leveling up and unlocking new modifiers, you will be able to increase the power of the artifact, which can be increased indefinitely until the end of the season. Artifact Power stacks with your total power and extends to entire account.
The Artifact can encourage different playstyles in each season, as well as different bonuses, and players will be able to experiment more with new combinations and manifestations of power.
Seasonal artifacts and modifiers will disappear at the end of each season. And with the new seasons, new artifacts, modifiers and special tasks for obtaining power will appear in the game.
What Do Mods Do?
Your artifact comes with 25 modifiers that you can enable. You will be able to have 12 of them and they will be available for a limited amount of time, but you can always go back and choose another mod. Any of these unlocked upgrades will be available to add to your armor. They are essentially similar to Weapon and Armor Mods. Some of them are absolutely essential for your game.

Column #1: General Armor Mods
- Dark Glimmer (1) - Defeating hive fighters with finishers grants extra Glimmer. The mod doesn't work.
- Labyrinth Miner (2) - Defeating Vex Minotaurs gives weapon parts. The mod doesn't work.
- Biomonetizer (1) - Defeating hive fighters grants additional Glimmer. The mod doesn't work.
- Circuit Scavenger (1) - Defeating Vex grants additional Glimmer. The mod doesn't work.
- Dissection Matrix (1) - Defeating the Hobgoblin Vex provides assignment materials. The mod doesn't work.
Column #2: Weapon modifiers
- Anti-Barrier Rounds (0) - Shield-piercing shells designed to bypass combat protection. Used only on automatic rifles and submachine guns.
- Anti-Barrier Hand Cannon (0) - Shield-piercing shells designed to bypass combat protection. Can only be used on hand cannons.
- Overload Rounds (0) - Continuous fire produces bullets that cause destruction, delaying ability energy regeneration and reducing combat damage output. Used only on automatic rifles and submachine guns.
- Overload Arrowheads (0) - Arrow damage causes disruption, delaying ability energy regeneration and reducing combat damage output.
- Unstoppable Hand Cannon (0) - Aiming down will generate a powerful blast wave that hits unprotected enemies. Effective against Unstoppable Champions.
Column #3: Weapon Customization Mods
- Enhanced Hand Cannon Loader (1) - Significantly increases the reload speed of hand cannons.
- Enhanced Submachine Gun Loader (1) - Significantly increases the reload speed of submachine guns.
- Enhanced Bow Loader (1) - Significantly increases bow reload speed.
- Enhanced Fusion Rifle Loader (1) - Significantly increases the reload speed of fusion rifles.
- Enhanced Auto Rifle Loader (1) - Significantly increases the reload speed of automatic rifles.
Column #4:
- Breach Refractor (3) - Gain grenade energy on final hits with a shield weapon or when a member of your team closes a barrier champion's ability.
- Ballistic Combo (3) - Gain melee energy on final hits with a shield weapon or when a member of your team disables a barrier champion's ability.
- Overload Grenades (4) - Void grenades cause destruction, delaying ability energy regeneration and reducing combat damage output.
- Disruptor Spike (3) - Improves the effect of destruction, further reducing the damage dealt by fighters.
- Unstoppable Melee (3) - ARC's melee abilities stun unprotected enemy fighters. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.
Column #5:
- Heavy Finisher (7) - Finishers generate heavy ammo. Requires half of your superpower.
- Oppressive Darkness (6) - Dealing damage with a grenade's void adds a debilitating effect to enemies.
- Arc Battery (5) - Grants overshield and cooldown reduction during activation for all Arc class abilities.
- Thunder Coil (6) - Gives bonus damage to all arc melee abilities and returns super energy on finisher's final hits.
- From the Depths (5) - Gives void bonus super damage if thrown while critically wounded. Lasts until the end of the super activation.
