Rainbow Six Mobile closed beta: game size, new features, regions, and more.
Rainbow Six Mobile from Ubisoft began closed beta testing on September 12 in seven countries (USA, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Philippines and India). The developers have mentioned that they will be testing live operations i.e. time limited events, challenges and various game settings/controls during the testing period.
The company is gradually releasing invites for Android users, but the beta will not be available for iOS devices. The developers have also stated that they are looking to increase the number of invites in the coming days.
Some users who were given the opportunity to participate in the beta have posted several videos and screenshots on their social media pages. There have been many more changes during this phase of testing than the closed alpha testing that took place in May 2022.
Rainbow Six Mobile Devs Insist Closed Beta is 'Work in Progress'
Players wishing to experience the game can pre-register at Google Play Store. The Install option will appear as soon as they receive an invitation.
During the testing phase, the game size for Android devices is 910 MB (excluding about 770 MB of in-game downloads). This is not the final size of the game, but it may give players an idea of what to expect.
The developers stated:
“If you are one of the first to receive an invite, you may encounter bots in your matches until additional players gain access to the beta. In order to optimize the concurrent players in your matches, we will start with one Bomb game mode, which will appear in the next few days along with new players.”
Rainbow Six Mobile closed beta areas:
- USA
- Brazil
- Canada
- Mexico
- Singapore
- Philippines
- India
Compared to the alpha version, the graphics and gameplay of Rainbow Six Mobile has been greatly improved during the beta testing phase. The developers have also stated that the beta is only a "work in progress" version of the game.
Interestingly, the game now includes operator and progress unlock systems, which are the biggest changes this time around. This means that a daily challenge has been introduced and users can win tickets to unlock operators as well as the battle pass.
After adding a new card Clubhouse players can now fight on three different maps. The game has entered the beta testing phase with a game mode Bomb and introduce another mode, secure area, in the coming days.
The official Rainbow Six Mobile Twitter page posted a photo showing some of the streamers trying out the game:
The team added in their official blog post:
“Keep in mind that this is still an unfinished version of the game. The quality of the graphics and content has improved a lot since our alpha test, but it's still not final."
The title, which features 5v5 matches between attackers and defenders, is a mobile port of Rainbow Six Siege, the popular Ubisoft game available on PC and consoles.
