Hideo Kojima fuels Death Stranding 2 rumors with cryptic tweets with Norman Reedus
Hideo Kojima has apparently acknowledged the rumors that Death Stranding 2 is in development, with a hilarious tweet following an interview Norman Reedus gave confirming the start of production.
On May 17, Norman Reedus gave an interview where he indirectly confirmed that Death Stranding 2 is in development.
As the news spread around the world, fans wondered if this was some sort of mistake on Reedus's part or if a supposed sequel was actually being worked on.
Now the game director, Hideo Kojima, backed up Reedus' statement with a very funny but cryptic tweet.
Hideo Kojima admits Death Stranding 2 rumors
Kojima's tweet reads "Go to your room my friend", referring to the various lounge areas found in Death Stranding.
However, the photos attached to Kojima's tweet paint a more humorous picture.
They show Kojima wielding Negan's famous bat from "The walking Deadbehind the kneeling Norman Reedus.
Here, Kojima is referencing one of The Walking Dead's most iconic scenes, Negan's gruesome introduction that featured Reedus' character Daryl.
While the first two photos would lead to believe that Kojima is upset that Reedus seemingly leaked the Death Stranding 2 announcement, it's clearly hilarious.
Kojima attached one last photo to the tweet, which shows two smiling buddies shoulder to shoulder.
While the tweet isn't a direct confirmation that what Reedus said about Death Stranding 2 is true, there's very little chance it's just a coincidence.
Given that Death Stranding Director's Cut received positive reception from critics and gamers alike, it makes sense that Kojima Productions would be gearing up for some sort of sequel.
While Death Stranding fans may have to wait a little longer for official confirmation, there seems to be hope that Death Stranding 2 is on the horizon.
