World of Warcraft went free this weekend!
On the occasion of the forthcoming release of Dragonflight, Blizzard opened up free access to World of Warcraft, but not for very long.
From today until November 20, all players with inactive accounts, that is, those who do not currently have a paid subscription, can visit Azeroth for free. They will have access to all content in the game, including the latest Shadowlands expansion.
Dragonflight is close, and you and your allies can prepare for a new adventure. This weekend, we're giving all players with inactive World of Warcraft accounts full access to the game and all your characters without a subscription. You'll have access to all expansions, including The Land of Ciena, so you can play the latest content, including the pre-Tempest Unleashed event, and prepare for Dragonflight, which releases November 28, 2022.
If you've been away for a while, you can go through the new starting experience starting at level 1 to learn the ropes.
You can also choose not to start experience and start at level 1 in the starting area for your race instead. Once you reach level 10, you can either continue with the Battle for Azeroth or talk to Chromie to choose the Timewalking campaign. Choose an expansion and keep leveling until you're ready to enter the Dragon Isles at level 60 when Dragonflight goes live. Players with allied race characters will start at level 10. The non-allied races Death Knights and Demon Hunters will automatically start at level 8 and go through their own starting experience before advancing to level 10.
If you want to choose a different Timewalking campaign, just talk to Chromie again. With phase 2 patchDragonflightt before expansion, Timewalking Campaigns are scaled to level 60 and includeShadowlands.
