- Today, inXile Entertainment and Xbox announced the very first narrative expansion for Wasteland 3, titled The Battle of Steeltown.
- In The Battle of Steeltown, players must navigate the chaos surrounding the Steeltown manufacturing facility that keeps Colorado running.
- The expansion will introduce completely new game mechanics, weapons, armor, encounters, and enemy types, and will even revamp the base game.
Wasteland 3 is one of the best RPGs and overall the best games released in the last few years. Today, inXile Entertainment and Xbox announced Wasteland 3's very first narrative expansion, The Battle of Steeltown. This expansion will add a whole new area to Wasteland 3 for players to explore, with a ton of new content that makes the expansion rewarding while also tweaking and improving the base game. Battle of Steeltown for Wasteland 3 is coming to Xbox Series X , Xbox series s , Xbox one, PS5 , PS4 and PC on June 3, 2021.

Wasteland 3's Battle of Steeltown expansion contains a ton of new content, including:
- A new area in a factory complex in Steeltown where most of the machinery and equipment in Colorado is made.
- A new storyline in which the Rangers figure out why the factory is in disarray due to several warring factions and an impending uprising.
- Brand new quests and robotic enemies to fight in solo or co-op mode.
- New game mechanics, including status stacking effects, elemental shields, telegraph attacks, and non-lethal weapons.
- New weapons, armor and encounters to be unlocked
- Increased level and difficulty to keep the Battle of Steel City challenging enough.
- Improvements to the Wasteland 3 base game with new gear and game mechanics.
Wasteland 3 goes all-in at the Battle of Steeltown, bringing back beloved characters and groups from the base game, a new post-apocalyptic soundtrack and classic Wasteland dark humor. Players can look forward to the release of Wasteland 3's The Battle of Steeltown DLC on June 3, 2021 on all available Wasteland 3 platforms. Wasteland 3 is also available through Xbox Game Pass, but The Battle of Steeltown will likely not launch there (subscribers should receive discount).
