The Witcher, Far Cry and Cuphead: Everything Announced Today on Netflix Geeked Week
Today, Summer Game Fest has teamed up with Netflix to discuss and screen video game-based shows coming to the live streaming service. There was a lot going on, even though news on each project was limited at best.
Instead of presenting you with a dozen more articles about "this is happening, but we have nothing more to say," we decided to combine all the revelations. During Netflix Geeked Week today, we learned about the second season of The Witcher, WitcherCon, as well as projects related to Cuphead, Castlevania, and more.
This will be short. However, we will include as much information as we can.
Arcane – League of Legends
We heard about Arcane , an animated show based on League of Legends In early this year . The TV spin-off will star Jinx, the champion from the game. IN League of Legends Jinx is a gunsmith who loves explosions. However, she is a dark character, named as a criminal in lore. LoL . Arcane wants to dive deeper into her complex backstory, so expect a lot of drama and/or screaming. And probably both in a good way. "Jinx has a lot to prove, especially to his sister," the show's description reads. This autumn Arcane will be released on Netflix.
Мult series Cuphead
Netflix Geeked Week has released a brief teaser of the upcoming animated series Cuphead . It was revealed that he was bringing in Wayne Brady to voice the game's villain King Dice. Brady has a long career in television, working on shows such as " Whose line is this anyway? и The Wayne Brady Show ... IN Cuphead he plays King Dice, who is put on a game show of sorts in the teaser.
Far Cry get two episodes
This is the second Ubisoft property to receive treatment from Netflix. Publisher collaborates with Netflix on anime Far Cry , but only the logo was shown for it. No information on whether it will be based on an existing game Far Cry or something completely new.
However, the second show will based on the famous game. Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is a synthesized spin-off Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (which was also a spin-off). Laserhawk there is no release window yet, but it should be coming soon. Netflix has confirmed that the show will run for six episodes and will star Dolph Laserhawk, an enhanced soldier with a robotic right arm that turns into a gun. To be honest, it looks like it will be a lot of fun.
More Castlevania is always good news
fantastic show Castlevania recently ended on Netflix. It consisted of four seasons full of gore, swearing, and surprisingly dry, hopeful humor. However, Netflix has yet to finish the famous Konami property. As the show's initial run drew to a close, the streaming giant was quick to announce that it wanted to continue its existence in a world led by Warren Ellis and Adi Shankar.
Today the company announced that the next part is in development. It will star Marie Renard and Richter Belmont in 1792 during the French Revolution. Will Trevor and Syfa still be on this new show? Unlikely, as Netflix later cheekily "corrected" their announcement by saying that Richter is their great, great, great (this has been going on for a while) grandson. Alucard, a long-lived half-vampire, may appear, but these are only hopeful speculations.

Live show Resident Evil
Can't say I foresaw it, but I'm glad to hear the news. Lance Reddick, who played roles in the films " John Wick" , who are " "Horizon Zero Dawn" and " Castlevania" Netflix, will play Albert Wesker in the show " Resident Evil" . I'm a big fan of Reddick, so I'm excited to hear that he'll be joining the show to play one of the franchise's most iconic villains. I can already imagine him in a black trench coat slowly putting on sunglasses indoors.
