Valorant: Who is Agent Phoenix? Abilities, Gameplay, Knowledge Revealed
Riot Games has revealed details about one of the first agents in their new FPS shooter Valorant. Here's everything we know about Phoenix so far.
After a few words about Phoenix" and the rest of the Valorant list in Earlier this week, Riot officially began lifting the veil of secrecy over the first eight agents that players will be able to get their hands on when the game goes live.
In a teaser video released on March 5, Riot showed Phoenix "in control" of the one-on-five round with his abilities, as well as his highest finale.
Phoenix gameplay
As shown in Riot's March 5 teaser video, Phoenix will be armed to the teeth with fire-based abilities. Some even allow him to control the battlefield and block enemies for a short time.
In the clip, Fire Agent opens the round with his signature ability, Curveball (see below for more details).
He instantly knocks down his dazed opponent, sending him back to the lobby. He then uses one of his buyable abilities, Blaze, in a wide area on the map. A wall of fire rises, giving him time to stun and then kill two more enemies. Using depletes its only bar, so it should be a one-time move.

Phoenix abilities in Valorant
While only two of Phoenix's supernatural moves were shown in Riot's March 5 teaser, we already know each of the four abilities the agent has.
Along with Blaze and his signature Curveball ability, both of which were shown in full in the 32-second clip, the British character also has "Hot Hands" that damage his enemies and heal allies.
Also, Phoenix's final skill, which he displays in gameplay footage but never activates, seems to work similarly to the new character. Apex Legends Revenant. When you die or the ability runs out, you are teleported back to the original cast point.
This is a little different from the villainous simulacrum that arrived in Respawn's Season 4 battle royale. His ult gives him and his teammates protection from death, but in Apex they come back with only one health point.
Here are all the Phoenix abilities and their full description:
- ➤Hot hands : Throw a fireball that explodes after a delay or on impact with the ground. The zone of fire deals damage to enemies and heals you.
- ➤Blaze : A wall of flame that blocks vision and damages anyone passing through it. You can bend the wall while hovering the turn by holding the left mouse button.
- ➤ Cur—Curveball : quit a twisted flash that, after a short delay, bursts into bright light, temporarily blinding all who look at it. Left click on the curves on the left, right click on the curve on the right.
- ➤Ultimate Ability— Run it Back : tick your current location. If you die while this ability is active, or when this ability expires, you will be respawned at the marked location with full health.
Phoenix lore and personality
The new agent speaks several times during the teaser video how he deals with his opponents, giving us a better idea of what we can expect from Phoenix as we get to know him throughout Valorant's life.
Phoenix, who was confirmed by Riot to be coming from the United Kingdom, if his accent wasn't obvious enough, seems like a cocky character. Like his debut quote in a tweet - "You know the name" - his bravado is found in the game.
"Oh, you want to play? Let's play,” the British agent says as he activates his first move in the teaser, and once he finishes taking down the enemy team with his flashy abilities, he also adds a simple taunt, “One shot! »
The final clue to Phoenix's brash nature has already been given to us, when eight agents were first revealed . The revealed description of the agent tells us that he will "rush into fights on his own terms...".
For now, those who want to start playing Phoenix will have to be patient — Riot has confirmed that Valorant will launch in Summer 2020 for “most regions of the world.” At the moment there is no exact release date.
Valorant is expected to have a beta to test the new FPS. It was originally scheduled for March 2.
There was speculation that beta testing would end on March 4th, but this is not true . For now, we just have to wait patiently for more Valorant details to surface.
Unfortunately, the wait for more in-depth gameplay videos of the title continues after Riot canceled some events due to concerns about the continued spread of the coronavirus, it's not clear when we'll see something new.
As always, we will continue to update you with the latest details as more information becomes available. Stay tuned for Valorant news, updates, information and content on our pages.
