Slenderman found in Phasmophobia
Big Halloween update for phasmophobia, appears to be hiding a creepy stowaway as fans have discovered that none other than the infamous Slenderman is lurking in the woods around the Maple Lodge campsite that was added earlier this week.
Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games is well-known for its spooky little jokes - the team is especially fond of throwing in hints about new ghosts before they're released, as preparations for this week's big Halloween Nightmare update showed. The patch was released on Monday and brings with it four new ghosts, a new Nightmare difficulty, various major changes, and a new Maple Lodge camp map.
The campsite map differs from previous maps in that it is set in a forest, and players have found all sorts of Easter eggs while digging through the map, including a Jason Voorhees mask and a corpse under the cabin, which is believed to be one of the new ghosts. However, the most terrible secret is that Slenderman is hiding in the forest.
Slenderman can appear in multiple locations and often does not appear in the same location twice. To find it, explore the edges of the Maple Lodge map, keep a close eye on it, and wait for a cold shiver to run down your spine. Or check out the guide below, that's good too.
Slenderman will not attack the player, he will just look and crawl out at you. In other words, this is another reason why Phasmophobia is one of the creepiest PC games out there.
