Leaked Xbox Exclusives: Pentiment and Project Midnight Revealed Prematurely

Two new Xbox exclusive games have leaked from Obsidian Entertainment and Compulsion Games. Here's everything we know about them so far.

Xbox Game Studio has had a stellar 2021 with hits like Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires IV and the highly anticipated Psychonauts 2.

Now, a couple of Xbox exclusive games have leaked online, revealing what Xbox Game Studios has in store for the future.

Pentiment by Obsidian Entertainment

Tentatively titled Pentiment, Obsidian's next project will be developed by a small team led by Josh Sawyer. Sawyer made a name for himself by being one of the main characters in Fallout: New Vegas, one of Obsidian's most popular games to date.

According to the leak, Pentiment will take cues from fast-paced RPGs like Disco Elysium and focus on a 16th-century European investigator who solves a gruesome murder.

release date

Unfortunately, the leak didn't reveal a release date. And since Obsidian remains tight-lipped about the project, those interested in the game may want to wait a while.

Project Midnight by Compulsion Games

Compulsion's next game, codenamed Project Midnight, will be the studio's first game since We Happy Few, released back in 2018.

The leak said it would be a third-person, single-player action game based on a coming-of-age narrative with dark and creepy visuals. Based on the leaked images, Midnight will feature characters with wings that resemble humans that have evolved over time. There is also a nest in the image, which seems to be directly related to the plot.

Project Midnight release date

Project Midnight doesn't have a set release date, and since the game hasn't been officially announced yet, we probably won't know a release date for a very long time.
