Tall Tales #4 Rogue Stars — Sea of Thieves Guide

Sea of Thieves

If you want to know how to complete the Rogue Star story in Sea of Thieves, then you've landed on the right bank.

Sea of Thieves

The old star explorer's notes point to the heavens and the way to get to the Curtain Breaker part...

Rogue Stars is the fourth voyage of the Golden Shores. As mentioned by Madame Olivia in Plunder Outpost, Sadds might know something about Briggsy. Find " Surprise" in the Naval post "Polar Star", to find the Rogue Stars magazine.

Sea of Thieves - Rogue Star Guide

  1. Go to Sadds and vote in the "Rogue Stars" diary
  2. Read a magazine
  3. Find the North Star and find the island you have to go to
  4. Dig up an enchanted spyglass
  5. Use the spyglass to navigate the islands mentioned in the diary
  6. Find the treasure on the island and dig it up or take it
  7. Take two Star Jewels to the last island
  8. Swim into the cave below and place the jewels on the eyes of the statue.
  9. Take the totem and the unresolved star charts
  10. Place the totem on the door behind you (if it is a crab totem)
  11. Light the braziers
  12. Use unsolved history to solve character sequence
  13. Take the Veilbreaker Jewel back to Sadds

Rogue Stars contains several difficult tasks. What makes this difficult is that you have to navigate the islands using only the constellations. After voting, you will receive Sadds' journal detailing some of the stories and songs he heard, as well as a list of all the constellations.

The constellations take on various forms such as a crab, a mermaid, a boar, or a snake, and each of them has a small advertisement regarding their role and their name. These details will help you solve some of the puzzles.

Read the magazine to find out three separate stories. The first two will take you on an adventure to collect star jewels, and the last story is about where to get the jewels.

To start the adventure, you will need to find the North Star. You can do this at night or during the day. Find the brightest star in the north and then find the island mentioned in the journal. The log may tell you to swim towards the star or swim with your back to it. The island should be fairly close to the Sadds Sea Post.

Dig up the treasure chest and take the spyglass. This enchanted spyglass can be found on your map wheel. When you look through a telescope at the stars, the constellations are revealed to you.

Now you can start searching for the islands mentioned in the stories. These stories may be random and may have different mysteries. Some of these riddles may be a poem that mentions the constellations, another a simple image, and another a mixture of the two.

In the sample song, Sadds gives a little introduction and a suggestion on where to start. "An island that is located far from Sadza's trading post and is pointed to by one eye" is a reference to the constellation of the shark. Find the stars and then sail in the direction indicated by the constellation. Hence, cross-reference the poem with the map. The poem speaks of rings of earth and water, and the only island in the direction of the shark constellation that fits this description is Shark Feed Bay. Here we found the first Star Gem.

In the following example, the log shows a couple of constellations, several islands, and a starting point. The trip starts on Crescent Island, where the next step is to find out where the constellation of the warrior is and travel to the island in that direction. From there, the serpentine constellation leads to the island where the second Star Gem is hidden. In my case, it turned out to be Piercing Shoal Island.

Sea of Thieves

The latest log story seems to be the same for every flight. It is necessary to bring the found jewelry to another island. To solve this puzzle, read the story and use the names of the constellations to find the correct islands. The island of the singer belongs to the constellation of the snake, which means Serpent Island. Look for the sky in the constellation Pisces and move in that direction. You will be looking for an uncharted island with a tunnel under the ocean. This uncharted island is the same one used in the first quest Veil Breaker, on which the ship Soroche Wing sank.

Find the entrance to the underwater tunnel and then take two star gems to place the jewels in the eye sockets of the statue and take the totem and the unresolved star map. Use the totem on the hidden door behind you and then read the last unresolved story.

Sea of Thieves

Enter the vault room, light the brazier and get ready to solve the symbol sequence. The solution to this sequence is hidden in the diary. The story uses names and information about constellations. If you can't remember them, have someone read the constellations and have the other read the story.

Read each line and choose the correct character based on the story. In the example above, the first solution would be a mermaid, a shark, a scarab, and then a warrior. Click the button to commit your answer. Once both solutions are entered, the wall will fall and you will be able to collect the Curtain Breaker gem.

Take the Stone to Northstar Trading Post to complete Rogue Star's journey to Tall Talle Goldshores.

Rogue Star Diaries

1 diary - Smuggler's Refuge Island: a little north of the trading post of the North Star near the stone on the cape

2 diary - the island of the Valley of Treasures: at the very top of the island, next to the lighthouse near the telescope.

3 diary - the island of the Nest of Serpents: Central Island, to the north with stargazing equipment. Check around the edge to find a diary..

Diary 4 - Devil's Backbone Island: Go to the top of the island near the lighthouse. Use the rocks to climb up to the telescope. The diary is under the parchments.

Diary 5 - Crescent Island: Found on the southwestern side of the island, on a rocky outcrop.
