Weird Apex Legends Bug Generates Free Apex Coins
A strange bug in Apex Legends was giving away free Apex Coins - and no one was able to find a specific reason.
Apex Legends is pretty well coming to the end of the third season, which is scheduled for early February, but this time frame has not been as smooth and easy for Respawn Entertainment.
Fans have noted performance issues with the game, not being able to accurately shoot enemies with certain weapons, and even loading issues. World's End cards. However, another issue has been highlighted in the spotlight, although it could actually benefit players and hurt Respawn's pockets.
In a post to the subreddit Apex Legends user hagennn testified that after a game with a friend where they disconnected and the buddy got 7 Apex Coins for no reason.
“We joined the lobby, both received a message and in-game currency, so we decided to repeat the steps taken,” they explained.
While some Reddit users speculated that it may have been a visual glitch, Hagennn revealed that his friend was actually able to spend coins on Apex packs.
One gamer with a nickname Slyfox, explained that they had experienced this in the past while having their account on a friend's console. After disconnecting, he managed to get all of his friend's previous purchases with Apex Coins. but Hagennn did not disclose whether this could have been the case in their case.
Now, 7000 isn't the most absurd number that has been linked to this question, as back in February, Redditor MrJakeHD received over 125 million Apex Coins out of nowhere.
So far, there hasn't been an amount close to that, but it looks like there's still a glitch in the Respawn system that transfers the free premium currency. There is still a lot to see if the devs fix the bug, especially with Season 4 around the corner, which will no doubt have a huge content rollout.
