Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake - The Future of Bikini Bottom Announced

Are you ready kids? THQ Nordic unveiled a brand new SpongeBob game during the publisher's 10th Anniversary Showcase, Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. 

There is currently no estimated release date for The Cosmic Shake.

Spongebob's new platformer features the adventures of the iconic SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Mrs. Puff and more. Players will have to go through portals to seven different Dream Worlds. Among them are the Jellyfish Fields of the Wild West and Halloween Rock Bottom, while others are inhabited by knights, pirates, prehistoric snails and other extraordinary characters.

Here's how the publisher describes The Cosmic Shake:

SpongeBob and Patrick meet the mysterious fortuneteller Cassandra, who gives them a vial of mermaid tears. Legend claims that they fulfill the desires of those who are pure in heart... Naturally, the two best friends get overexcited, and their flow of desires tears the very fabric of space and time. At the same time, releasing Cosmic Jelly © on Bikini Bottom and opening portals to strange desire worlds in the process. Now it's up to our heroes to rescue their friends who got lost in the Gez Worlds and reclaim Bikini Bottom's most iconic buildings. But Cassandra has her own evil plan...
