Five Nights At Freddy's Creator Funds Fan Games

I hope you're ready for a massive animatronic horror fest because Five Nights At Freddy creator Scott Cawthon has launched a project to help fund the many fan-made games inspired by the series.
The Fazbear Fanverse Initiative will invest in some of the most popular fan games to come out over the years, including a remake of the first FNAF.
“Some great fan-made universes have been created in this community and I want them to continue evolve,” says Cawthon .
“That's why I invested some money in the development of new games from these game series. However, I will SUDDENLY be involved in development so that these creators can do their thing.”
Current games included in the project are Five Nights At Candy's 4, The Joy Of Creation: Ignited Collection, Popgoes Evergreen, One Night At Flumpty's 3 and the aforementioned remake of the original FNAF. Moreover, all of them will be released for free on Game Jolt, as always.
The plan for these games is to pair them with others from the same series and hopefully release them on mobile and consoles. He even mentions the possibility of new spin-off merchandise, you know, just in case you want some spooky new plushies staring at you from the corner of the room.
In my experience, some of these fan works were actually much better than the original FNAF games. I played The Joy Of Creation and didn't sleep well for a while after that. Instead of sticking to the typical FNAF formula of sitting still, looking at the cameras and being scared, this one has really different levels where you can roam the horrors that haunt you (also you play as Scott Cawthon himself, meta). This is a very good scary game and it's great to see these fans getting paid for their great work.
If the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative goes well, Cawthon said he may add more fan games to the project in the future. However, he must choose which ones to finance, because there are literally thousands of different things .
