Genshin Impact community threatens to kick back streamers for participating in KFC promotion

MiHoYo has been heavily criticized by the Genshin Impact community for the recently announced Adventurer's Guild Twitch event. Players seem to be so disengaged that they are now targeting the content creators selected to participate.

The mega popular English-language Twitch streamer and techno YouTuber are arguably one of the biggest Genshin Impact video creators in the entire world. However, fans have recently threatened the streamer with a massive unsubscribe for attending an Adventurer's Guild Twitch event.

Conflict between the Genshin Impact community and miHoYo

The drama began when Genshin Impact announced the formation of the Adventurer's Guild at a Twitch event. This web event requires attendees to subscribe to certain Twitch streamers in order to receive KFC theme skin and other awards.

It's worth noting that the KFC wings glider was previously released in China, where players had to buy food from restaurants in order to get redemption codes.

Players from other regions are now complaining that miHoYo is forcing them to follow the content creators of Genshin Impact. Apparently, most of the players do not watch streams regularly and are not interested in buying a subscription to their channels.

Why are streamers getting threats from Genshin Impact players?

Many well-known creators of Genshin Impact such as Tuonto, Tectone and Mtashed have opted out of their contract with miHoYo. As a result, they won't be the right creators for the upcoming event, and subscribing to them won't help players get the skin.

It is not yet clear whether Russian-speaking streamers were on the list of participants in the action, and if they are, how they react to what is happening.

Now, the big names in the Genshin Impact community are recommending this opportunity to promote small Twitch channels that really need subscribers.
