Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles could be next Fortnite collaboration

Fortnite is reportedly going to introduce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a future update as part of a new deal between Epic Games and Paramount Pictures.

The next major crossover in Fortnite may be just around the corner. After a year full of highly anticipated collaborations, there are no signs of slowing momentum anytime soon.

Opening 2022 with a bang, Epic Games has reportedly signed a new contract. This time, an agreement was reached with Paramount Pictures, reports Shpeshal_Nick Xbox era podcast.

As part of this new deal, everyone's favorite mutated heroes will be next in line for the Fortnite Battle Bus.

Paramount Pictures

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have recently made an appearance in Smite, and now they may also be on their way to Fortnite.

“I was told that apparently Paramount signed with Epic to bring something new to Fortnite,” Nick said on air on Jan. 8.

While this opens the door for any number of massive collabs, one IP in particular is at the forefront of the plans: "The main one I heard about was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Little is known beyond this. It is not known what era of the Turtles we can get in the game, and when they can appear. Until this moment, it may take some time if the deal has just been signed.

By this point, there is also no indication of how big their influence might be. We could see a simple set of skins in the store, or Turtle Power could be the main theme of the entire seasonal update. We'll just have to wait and see what the Epics have in mind.

The TMNT thread starts at the 1:18:36 mark below.

All four brothers are expected to feature in Fortnite. However, we haven't heard of any additional characters yet to join them. From Splinter and Shredder to Casey Jones and April O'Neil, there are many good approaches that make sense for a battle royale title.

In addition, the Paramount deal could also open the door to an assortment of equally popular figures. Everything from "Transformers" to "South Park" could now be on the table if the leak is confirmed.
