Stalker-inspired shooter Into The Radius is coming to Quest 2
First-person survival shooter Into The Radius is on its way to Quest 2.
Developer CM Games confirmed the news today. The Quest port is being handled by another studio in "close collaboration" with CM and is due on the platform in September. We also got a first look at footage from the standalone version of the game, which you can check out below.
Into The Radius draws inspiration from the STALKER atmospheric shooter series, forcing players to use stealth and save their gear as they explore a harsh and unforgiving landscape. The game first appeared on PC VR headsets via Early Access a few years ago and has since launched in full, although CM Games is still adding new updates to it.
In today's update, the studio has confirmed that this version will have the same content and features as the PC version, and that both versions of the game will receive content updates going forward. While some of the work on making the Quest game will be carried over to PC, the studio says the original version of the game won't be affected graphically.
We thought the 2020 version of the game was a decent shooter even though it lacked perfection. We'll definitely be interested in returning to the game later this year to see how it stacks up.
