Sentinel - Everything We Know About the New Apex Legends Sniper Rifle
New season Apex Legends not far away. The fourth season of Battle Royale will introduce a host of new content to the game, including a new bolt-action sniper rifle called the Sentinel.
Respawn Entertainment opened this weapon for the first time in the announcement of the fourth season in January. Developer Apex remained relatively quiet about the sniper rifle, but boasted about its powerful capabilities during his stream.
Shortly after the season was announced, PlayStation Blog revealed more details about the Sentinel and its mechanics.
The blog goes on to say that players will use a shield battery from their inventory to "charge shots for an extra slam." This probably means that the Sentinel's charge function will not resemble the function Charge rifle, but instead there will be an Extra Charge that players can use to give the weapon extra power.
It is currently unclear what type of ammo the sniper will use, or how long the reload time will be between shots.
Fourth season Apex starts February 4th. A new playable legend is waiting for you this season Revenant, as well as several changes to the Ranked Battle Royale season.
