Einar is still standing, ready to continue fighting the servants. However, the servants leave and say that they must be prepared for punishment. Meanwhile, Thorfinn is unconscious and asleep. He sees his father and the horrors of his past. He ends up falling off the cliff from his previous dream, but he manages to hold on. Below, he sees numerous corpses endlessly fighting each other. Askelade appears in front of him, telling him that he can see where all the warriors end. He also says that Thorfinn was there with them, but he became hollow and managed to escape.
However, Thorfinn says that he is still a warrior after being hit by one of the servants. The mountain of people previously killed by Thorfinn begins to reach for him. Thorfinn begins to cry, feeling guilty for his sins. Askelad tells him to keep climbing and become a real warrior. Thorfinn continues to climb and then suddenly wakes up. He sees Einar and tests him.
