The fifth episode of the second season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen "Magic Battle" promises to bring viewers exciting moments and emotional twists. If you're looking forward to the next installment, we've got good news: the episode is set to air on August 3, 2023. Studio MAPPA's favorite anime will premiere a new series of weekly episodes every Thursday on the Crunchyroll platform.

The last episode, Hidden Inventory 4, ended with a stunning clash between "Wizard Killer" Toji Fushiguro and Sugura Geto. In the battle, Fushiguro gained the upper hand, inflicting heavy damage on Geto, but did not dare to kill him, fearing that the curses of his captives would be released. Afterwards, Fushiguro delivered Riko's body to the Time Vessel Association, who were pleased with his work but wanted to know the reason for her murder.
Upon leaving the headquarters, Fushiguro was shocked to meet the living Satoru Gojo. Gojo revealed that he realized the essence of the cursed energy and learned to use the reverse cursed technique to heal his wounds. Fushiguro tried to fight him, but couldn't match his strength. Fushiguro's final blow, Hollow Technique: Purple, killed the antagonist. At his death, Geto learned about Fushiguro's son, Megumi Fushiguro. The episode ends with Gojo's proposal to kill all religious followers bowing to Riko's corpse, which Fushiguro refused.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" season 2, which began in July, was received with enthusiasm by fans and critics. The last two episodes have received high ratings, scoring over 9,5 on IMDB at the time of writing. Currently in progress is the Gojo's Past arc, which is a prequel to the main series and focuses on the relationship between Gojo and Geto during their formative years. The next arc to be adapted into an anime is titled "The Shibuya Incident" and is considered one of the best in the series by many fans.
Studio MAPPA, adapting the manga by Gege Akutami, successfully mixed traditional shonen elements with violence and horror, which led to Jujutsu Kaisen being combined with the anime Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise into the so-called Dark Shonen Trio. All three anime were developed by the same studio and received high ratings from viewers.
