Rocksteady Confirms Suicide Squad Game

Rocksteady game

We got our first look at Rocksteady's new Suicide Squad game, and it's definitely worth a look.

After years of teasers and leaks, Rocksteady has finally confirmed its upcoming Suicide Squad game, once again using the DC Universe. While the confirmation came in the form of a simple image, a full reveal is slated for later this month, but at least we now have the long-awaited confirmation that a Suicide Squad game is indeed in the works.

Rocksteady took to Twitter to share the news, and while some were thrilled, others were a bit confused by the nature of the reveal. We have a few theories as to why they chose this path, as opposed to a regular cinematic trailer or even a GIF teaser.

My personal source says this game will be in the style of a real looter shooter, even comparing it to The Division 2. There is information that the game has a mixed reception based on what the game actually has to offer, but I haven't seen that myself yet. . Whether its report is accurate or not remains to be seen, but this format will meet previous revenue targets publicly recognized as a priority by the studio, though we know DC is in good hands.

Rocksteady knows how to create a great story and knows these characters from the inside out. We're looking forward to learning more about the upcoming Suicide Squad game when it's fully unveiled on August 22nd.

Now that we have Suicide Squad confirmation, we just need to know about the Batman game that the WB has been teasing over the years. As we reported earlier, the Suicide Squad game will have a rather understated reveal. This teaser is not included, this month's look is also just a teaser, so we recommend tempering those expectations now unless things have changed a lot in just two months.

What are you hoping to see in the upcoming Suicide Squad game later this month? Are you thrilled that the game is taking on that line, or are you firmly engrossed in the new Batman story?
