Resident Evil 8 VR Mod Gameplay Shows Motion Controls
The incredible work of the developers in creating Resident Evil games for virtual reality continues, this time with a mod for Resident Evil 8 VR.
This mod, which is still based on the RE engine, came out a while ago, but the video below is one of the first looks we've seen so far. The mod has full support for first-person motion control.
Resident Evil 8 VR Gameplay Mod Revealed
Naturally, there are some minor tweaks to the mod, but it's still quite remarkable to see an AAA game running in VR.
We're still waiting for the official release of the mod, but praydog has already done an incredible job bringing Resident Evil 2 and 3 to first-person VR, and is working on bringing Resident Evil 7 to PC with motion control support. Of course, 7 already supports the Sony PSVR headset on PS4, but only with head aim. We're still hoping to get full support for Resident Evil 8 when PSVR 2 also officially hits store shelves.
In other Resident Evil news, we know that Resident Evil 7 is also getting a PS5 port, which, again, gives us hope that we'll be able to play it on a new Sony headset in the future. We're also looking forward to the launch of Quest 4's Resident Evil 2 mercenary mode, which the Meta promised would come in a free update released sometime this year.
There's a lot of good Resident Evil VR content on the way, but what games are you going to play and where?
