Ravkus joins Sentinels as head coach after leaving FaZe Clan
The Sentinels have signed former FaZe Clan core member Ravkus as the team's first head coach ahead of Valorant Champions next month.
Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty has been in the Valorant scene with FaZe since the early days of esports. He was previously the Overwatch World Cup (2019) champion before switching to Riot's FPS.
After spending his career as a professional Valorant player in FaZe, the 27-year-old will make his LAN debut by orchestrating a Sentinels assault from behind the scenes.
"I'm going to be with them [the Guardians] on their run to Berlin," he said. “We are going to win the Champs, I am very happy about it. It's like an exciting new chapter in my life."

Ravkus will lead the Sentinels Valorant at Champions 2021.
Rawkus joins the Sentinels' Valorant team
Rawkus will inherit what is already considered one of the best Valorant lineups in the world.
The Guardians are full of talent in every position, led by Jett Ace Tyson "TenZ" Ngo.
Speaking of the announcement, the American said everyone was excited about the move as it could go a long way in correcting the team's biggest failures: "I feel like they were all in the know," he said. “They are all insanely talented players. They don't need someone to train them hard.
“They know how to play, obviously they have won two Masters in a row. Personally, I want to help them with stupid plots and new ideas.”
The Guardians were no crime stronghold to capture all three Masters titles in 2021 before they were ultimately defeated by Team Envy in the Berlin quarter-finals. There is no doubt that there is talent in the Red-Blacks' roster, but the team wants to add "smartness to [their] firepower" by signing Ravkus.
The Sentinels are one of 16 teams competing at Champions, and they will aim for a better result than her last VCT LAN run.
