Portal with RTX support will be released on December 8 - NVIDIA revealed system requirements and showed a video
NVIDIA released a new video Portal with RTX, thus announcing the release date of the update for the cult puzzle. 8 December game Valve will acquire support for ray tracing using the toolkit NVIDIA RTX Remix.
The studio is developing Lightspeed, who in the past was responsible for moving the company's projects to NVIDIA Shield. In addition, an improved version of Portal will receive support DLSS-3.0 and high resolution textures will also update the original models.
At the same time, a comparison of the two versions of the project appeared on the network, where you can see how technology has changed the game of 2007.
It is worth considering that you need a powerful computer to run Portal with RTX. In the ultra-configuration, a GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card with 32 gigabytes of RAM and an Intel Core i7-12700K processor are noted. The minimum configuration is a bit simpler: players will need a GeForce RTX 3060 and an Intel Core i7-6700.
