The Complete Guide to the Valorant Haven Map: Diagram, Strategies, Dots, and More

map

In a game like Valorant, map knowledge is critical. Our guide will guide you through the Haven map and show you the best escape and attack routes.

To help you plan a solid attack plan or build a solid defense, we're going to go through all the Valorant cards, and we'll start with Haven.

Haven is one of the more unique Valorant maps, hosting three Spike planting points, as opposed to the traditional two-site format that most FPS players are used to seeing.

With that in mind, we recommend checking out the bombsite locations and map links below as we'll be referencing them throughout this guide.

Great general tip for Valorant maps: communication is key - it's always important to let your teammates know where the enemy is, so it becomes a lot easier once you learn the map's locations and can communicate it. Even if your teammates use slightly different names for things, strategizing and talking is always better than keeping quiet.

Most of the names of the main landmarks in Haven are similar to other maps. For example, Heaven, Hell and Tunnels are locations you will hear constantly during the game. The hardest part is knowing exactly where those names refer to each card and reacting accordingly. Take Garage for example… It means two different locations in Split and Haven.

How to play as a striker in Haven

Spike point C

We'll start with C-plant . Generally considered the easiest to attack, it can be attacked in two ways: the C-Long route or through the garage in the C-Tunnel.

If you choose the latter path, it would be wise to have a teammate smoke the yard so that any ambitious defenders don't ruin your push from B. Smoke to the Nest (above the Garage) is a good challenge too, as there is almost always a defender standing waiting by the window.

For this reason Heavenly Smoke Brimstone makes him almost a mandatory agent in Haven, but thanks to the release of the 1.0 patch that fixed her Cloudbursts, Jett could also work here.

The obvious route to C is via Long, but you won't have much cover when you install Spike. So if you decide to go this route, it's wise to make full use of any abilities to create cover and smoke screens.

When it comes to landing on C, placing the Spike inside the corner of a rectangular "L" shape is suitable for a fast hit (usually this value is Default ). But you can also sit on the opposite side of L and sit behind the crates in the back of C for a longer hold.

Spike point B

Moving on Point B is a much more difficult task for intruders on Haven, as the defenders can pincer you and attack you from multiple directions once they know you're there.

Properly placed smokes can cut off enemies' lines of sight from A and C respectively, and they'll definitely make a fuss once they hear the spike is planted. Speaking of the spike, it's usually wise to plant it at the back of the point and protect it behind a permeable wall (located in front of the gong), but you can also place it in the front on the inside corners of large boxes.

Spike point A

A-plant similar to B in that it can be a little difficult for attackers to gain a foothold, as Defenders will almost always have someone at the Window stoking fire from heaven. If you do break through and set up a spike, A will be much easier than the middle point.

In order to land Spike, you need to bypass the A-site box facing A-Long, as you will also be protected from enemy shots from above. Another good place is the upper right corner, right under the window. Useful if you have Sage, using his Barrier Sphere here to block Heaven when you go to this place.

How to play Protector in Haven

Spike point C

Defense might be less nervous in Valorant since you don't have to worry about landing Spike, but that's not exactly the case with Haven and his trio of dots, so your squad will be more spread out. We will start the defense again with C-plant, which can be securely held by two players - or one Cypher who knows what they are doing!

A good way to split up the work is to have one agent log into C where they can see how C-long, so and tunnel. So he will get clear lines of sight from both points of attack. Your other C Defender will want to stay close to B-Link and keep an eye on the Nest window above the Garage, which is a popular route for offensive attacks.

Spike point B

Опытный Cypher can easily cover point B on its own using a trap and a well-placed camera, which makes a CCTV network, which confirms the choice of this agent for Haven is a must.

Spike point A

We're back on A, which is arguably the easiest point to hold on to Haven. The key to A is Sky Control, which gives you a commanding view of the ramp leading from the A-Long side and the sewers coming out of the tunnel.

You need to be confident if you're running this crow's nest because it's definitely the first place players check when entering a point. However, two Agents are recommended, one of which takes cover behind a long box on A to support the player in Heaven, who will mostly take the A-Long route.

This may seem like a lot of work, especially if you haven't played Valorant before. But after a few matches, you will start to get familiar with things and get familiar with the cards and the games on them.

As we said before, communication is one of the most important things in Valorant, so even if you don't memorize the map, teamwork and communication can really help make playing both sides of the Spike a little easier when Haven gets in line.
