Multiplayer sessions can now accommodate more explorers. Space Anomaly can hold 16 players across all platforms .

In the rest of the universe, the maximum number of players has increased from 4 to 8 players per console and from 4 to 32 PC players .

THE BEST TIME TO START A NEW JOURNEY

Missions and tutorials have been significantly revised. The early game has been streamlined and aims to better educate players on new mechanics, especially in VR.

Added new story material to weave together existing the paths of the Path of the Atlas, the journey through the Cosmic Anomaly and the history of Artemis.

Substances, created products, new technologies and other curiosities are automatically added to the new catalogueupon first discovery. Reworking from pinning The system allows players to receive detailed step-by-step instructions on how to find or create any item in their catalog.

Navigation features throughout the game have been greatly improved , including automatic highlighting of relevant crafting requirements and improved context transfer in complex missions.

AMBIENT MULTIPLAYER

Encounters with other explorers are now represented full character models , allowing players to see each other's character and ship settings. Survive, build and explore together - richer and more urgent than ever.

Use the Voice & Networking interface to come together with any explorers you come across.

PC players can use the advanced chat interface to manage group options and manage communications.

NEW SOCIAL HUB

The Space Anomaly has been transformed into a brand new social hub. This unique communal space exists in all systems and galaxies, providing all explorers with the opportunity to see each other's character and ship settings, meet new friends и carry out missions together.

The powerful Space Anomaly teleporter allows researchers to easily view and  visit each other's bases  directly from Anomaly.
 
Teleporter will also have exclusive bases included, created by members of the No Man's Sky community that will draw visitors from all the stars to see the best bases in the universe.
Explorers who encounter the Anomaly can now  call  her in space.
 

NEXUS MISSIONS

Multiplayer missions are now initialized from Nexus located aboard the space anomaly. A large set is currently available unique missions, including a new mission style - Base Construction.

Team up with other explorers - friends or random encounters - to complete tasks for Nad and Polo and earn rewards.

Nexus mission rewards will soon include Quicksilver to unlock special customizations and building parts from Polo's companion robot.

TECHNOLOGICAL WOODEN

Blueprints are now rendered via unlockable tech trees. Learning new crafting recipes is now clearer, more interactive, and more rewarding.

Blueprint Analyzer has been transformed into an advanced building research group . Players can now choose your own paths of exploration and more visualize their progress in research. Even more base parts are available aboard the space anomaly.

Visit experts by technology aboard the Space Anomaly to purchase upgrades for the Exosuit, Starship, Multi-Tool and exocraft.

Unblock cargo and frigate technologies from the cargo bridge.

Research food recipes on special research trees in planetary institutions.

GAME BALANCE

Researchers can enjoy longer periods continuous mining with less frequent and less aggressive guardians, and a redesigned overheat mechanism for Mining Beam that rewards pushing heat to the limit.

Ship control и space combat balance have been improved.

Inventory restrictions have been relaxed , which allowed researchers to carry an almost unlimited amount of mined substances. The inventory UI has been overhauled and improved.

A large number of questions quality of life was decided and new recipes and technologies were added for facilitate grinding .

Certain buildings are now located through the system planetary charts, purchased from space station cartographer .

HUD and UI have been completely redesigned for virtual reality to ensure that every interaction available in the game looks like natural and built for a purpose .

Slip right onto your Exosuit and manipulate and control yours inventory right from your wrist .

XNUMXD menus such as shops are displayed in "peace", "diet" user interface , with intuitive point-and-click style navigation.

NEW TRAVELER

NEW FOREIGN PAGES

Available over 60 new dialogues from alien NPCs found on planetary sites to mini-stories and missions.

All existing dialogues with aliens have been revised and improved.

Animations have been improved, foreigners have shown more the right mood from the very beginning of the conversation.

Dialog Boxes have been improved to distinguish between descriptive text and dialogue more clearly.

DYNAMIC NPCS

OPTIMIZATION

VIRTUAL REALITY OF INTERACTION WITH THE USER

Thanks to the full head and hand tracking virtual reality interaction makes No Man's Sky more intuitive , tactile и exciting, than ever.

  • Added a new Photo Mode-style camera to make it easier to place complex structures.
  • Added ability to scale some base parts.
  • Added the ability to rotate some base parts around more than one axis.
  • Added new basic parts for power generation: biofuel reactors, solar panels, electromagnetic generators and batteries. Each offers a different way to generate energy for your base.
  • Added wiring to allow you to connect basic parts that require power to your generators.
  • Removed the manual fueling of many core techs and replaced it with power grid requirements.
  • Added power requirements for existing parts such as lanterns.
  • A number of logic gates and switches have been added to allow for creative control of working parts.

  • Improved management of base options when interacting with the base computer, including improved ability to take screenshots of the base.
  • Added jetpack capability while the build menu is open.
  • Improved the visual effects of the Terrain Manipulator.
  • Unified the functionality of the message module and communication station and added a new unique art asset.
  • Several new roof pieces have been added to allow players to build full sloping roofs.
  • Added new exocraft sized doors that can automatically open and close as you approach.
  • Added new interactive props, including customizable lightboxes and audio frequency generators.
  • Added an orb generator that allows players to create large movable orbs.
  • Improved visual effects when constructing base parts and technologies.

ERROR CORRECTION

  • Increased the tolerance of merchant ships involved in a freighter battle so that they do not report friendly fire as a crime unless the shot is fatal.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Guardian drones to get stuck when scanning a player who was entering and exiting their ship.
  • Fixed an issue where the third person player model would never look directly at the camera.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the ship's rain sound to play when it wasn't raining.
  • Added creature sounds to strange biome creatures.

  • Fixed an issue where the wrong impact particles would sometimes be used when firing clockwise.

DISCOVERY AND EXPLORATION

  • Overhaul of the analytical visor. Flora, fauna and minerals scanning no longer starts automatically, but starts when the player holds the button while looking at the corresponding object.
  • In VR, the Analysis Visor becomes Analysis Mode. Objects are scanned by targeting them with the Multi-Tool.
  • Custom markers placed from the analysis visor now remove the physics object at the marker's location.
  • Significantly redesigned the Discovery Page to show a graphical representation of the system, as well as close the 3D views of all discoveries and long text entries for fauna.
  • Made butterflies and other flying creatures are much easier to scan with an analysis visor.
  • Added a new set of rare bright color palettes for lush planets.
  • Creature markers in the analysis visor now show how far away the creature is.
  • Fixed a bug that caused creatures to never poop when scared by a predator.
  • Predatory creatures no longer become targets and attack players when they are in interaction.
  • Creatures will no longer attack players on their ships.
  • Improved the clarity and display of warning icons on predatory or evil creatures.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Bio Horrors not to play their death effects for online players.
  • Fixed incorrect display of the fauna level in the analysis window.
  • Added a creature marker to display their current mental state.
  • Added new wild plants for all biomes.
  • Added the ability to cook plant and animal products in the Nutrient Processor to produce a wide variety of foods. Experienced with combinations to create unique and complex food items.
  • Eating food provides support for your life.
  • Added bait foods crafted in the Nutrient Processor that allow you to harvest creatures for food. Scanning creatures to find out their bait preferences.

  • Creatures that have been tamed by giving them the desired bait can ride. Creatures will still try to go about their business, but their routine can be shaped by their rider.
  • Upper body gestures can be used while sitting or riding a creature.
  • Nutrient Processor and Portable Refiner now display a marker when not placed inside a base.

  • Cabins of all ships have been completely redesigned and expanded.
  • Increased the amount you can inspect the cockpit of a ship.
  • Added fully modeled cockpits/interiors for all Exocraft and the Nautilon submarine.
  • Starship exteriors can now be seen inside the ship.
  • Improved particle effects for Scatter Blaster and Blaze Javelin.
  • Increased the scale of the ships. Landing pads and docking bays across the galaxy have been expanded to accommodate the new larger ships. As a result, the landing pads at the existing bases were returned.
  • Improved visual detail of fighters, tractors and shuttles.
  • Added ramps to the front of the space station balcony areas.
  • Fixed a number of issues that prevented trees and rocks from being knocked down by Exocraft.

  • Added Launch System Recharger, a ship upgrade that automatically recharges Launch Thrusters over time.
  • Added an extra slot to run Multi-Tool.
  • When installing an update module, the correct inventory is automatically selected.
  • Adjusted the probabilities of low, medium, and high security planets in normal mode.
  • Adjusted Sentinel patrol timers on lower security planets.
