Phasmophobia Just Got Out Of Control
Ghostbusters will now explore Goryo and Mailing, while regular Ghosts are even faster in the Exposure update.
Kinetic Games just released the latest Phasmophobia update, Exposition, and it's very big. This latest patch includes two new ghosts, more equipment, and a host of in-game changes that are guaranteed to result in more reported violence.
The Ghostbusters will now have to take on Goryo and Mailing, the spooky new addition you may have seen earlier when Kinetic Games shared their preview of an enemy that is "very quiet while hunting." The addition means that the old proof requirements for Phasmophobia needed to be reworked, so now some of the traits you know might have changed.
You will now have access to the new DOTS projector and the electronic equipment will also respond to ghost hunting. If you have something turned on, when the demons are chasing you, it will start beeping and indicate your position. All of Phasmophobia's electronic instruments have been remastered with these new sounds and visuals. Also, the parabolic microphone now lets you hear "paranormal sounds" - so that's terrible.
In this update, you will become faster, but the ghosts will also be faster. The sprint feature in Phasmophobia has been reworked, allowing you to move faster for three seconds before the five-second cooldown timer kicks in. As for walking, your previous sprint speed is now the normal walking pace, so we won't be running away from the Banshee at a leisurely pace anymore. All this is great news when you run away, but now the ghosts react faster to the hunt and don't give you as much time to get into the toilet stall.
As for other minor changes, Phasmophobia saw updates to lighting, sounds, and textures. Your glow sticks have been weakened, but other equipment like the Spirit Box should be easier to use. UI tweaks and VR functionality should also have noticeable quality-of-life improvements. Everything else, such as minor bug fixes, is listed on Phasmophobia store page .
