Order of the Ancients in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Where to Find 45 Order Members

member of the order

Assassin's Creed Valhalla has 45 target locations of the Order of the Ancients. Eliminating all members of the Order of the Ancients unlocks the Last Days of the Order of the Ancients trophy or achievement. This guide shows you where to find all the Adepts of the Order of the Ancients.

You can keep track of how many Ancients you've killed by looking at the "Order" menu. 13 of them are automatic plot kills and cannot be found outside of their specific main missions. You pretty much need to play through the story to get them all. The remaining 32 are in the open world. Zealots are very strong and will require a high level and good equipment. For these reasons, it is recommended to go through the story first. None of the Order members are missable, you can still find them all after the story in free roam.

Defeating all Objectives of Order is also part of Hitem's "Breach of Order" quest line. Build a Hidden Bureau in your settlement in England and then talk to him. He will give you clues about the whereabouts of the two Ancients. Each member you kill also gives you one medallion of the Order of the Ancients, which you can return to Haytham. In return, he will give you abilities.

Clarification of how to search for clues of the ancients

There are two types of members of the Order: 15 fanatics who travel around certain regions on the map, and 30 members of the inner circle who have fixed locations and are tied to higher members.

Usually you need to kill a member of the Order to find out where to find the next one. You can view the order menu to see tips for each one. They might say something like "Explore Elfgarstun Farm", which means looking for a document there that gives the next clue. Searching for hints is optional for them to appear (unless stated in the manual). In most cases, you can skip straight to their location. However, some walk and do not stay in place. They look just like civilians and are not marked by your Raven or Odin's Gaze. Because of this, it will be difficult to distinguish them in the crowd. For this reason, it's very helpful to get hints first if you're having trouble finding an Order Member. Hint locations are indicated in this guide. You can then track them from the order menu and it determines their exact location.

Fanatics have no clues to their whereabouts. Instead, they are marked with a white helmet icon within a few hundred meters. Every time you see them pop up, scan them with Odin's Gaze (R3/Right Stick) and their location will be permanently marked. This way, if you are low level, you can track their exact location later from the order menu.

We'll look at them in branch order, as shown in the Order of the Ancients in-game menu. First 15 fanatics from top left > bottom left > top right > bottom right. Then inner elements left > top left > top right > right > bottom.

Important story choice

To save time, it is recommended that you be hunted by Zealots. There is a dialogue choice at the beginning of the story that determines whether the fanatics will hunt you throughout the game or if they will leave you alone. The advantage of hunting them is that they will come to you instead of looking for them. Because they ride and don't have fixed locations, they can be difficult to find otherwise.

Order of the Ancients - Left Branch

Sickle

The first clue can be obtained after killing Woden, one of the zealots.

Hilda (Feather)

It will be possible to kill her according to the story as part of the Vinsestra arc (the main quest “Plucking Feathers”), that is, you definitely won’t miss a meeting with her. She cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Selwyn (Gallows)

She can be killed according to the story as part of the Vinsestra arc (the main quest “Choking from the gallows”), that is, you definitely won’t miss a meeting with her. She cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Elfert (Sachs)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Vinsestra arc (the main quest “Piercing the Saxon”), that is, you definitely won’t miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Order of the Ancients - Upper Left Branch

Cleaver (The Billhook)

The first clue to finding him can be obtained by killing Enbhert, a member of the Order.

Anvil (The Anvil)

The first clue to finding him can be obtained by killing Leofgifa, a member of the Order.

Turner (The Lathe)

Information about his whereabouts is not yet available.

Gifle

Information about his whereabouts is not yet available.

Wigmund (Wigmund)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Grantbridgeskir arc (the main quest "Eel Island"), that is, you definitely won't miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Bishop Herefrith (Crosier)

It will be possible to kill him according to the plot, so you will not miss a meeting with him. However, the timing of his kill will depend on your choice. During the Lincolnshire story arc, you will have to decide who will become the next earl: Elfgar, Hunwald, or Bishop Herefrith. If you vote for Elfgar or Hunvald, then the bishop will immediately become a member of the Order, and you will have to raid his castle, that is, you will kill him in the next quest.

If you vote for Herefrit, then the region's story arc will end prematurely, and later you will find out that he is a cultist. This will happen after the completion of your next story arc (for example, after Jorvik). Then you will have to raid his fortress.

Order of the Ancients - upper right branch

Eanbherth (Vellum)

He can be found in a locked house overgrown with plants near the pier in the town of Gloucestershire (Gloucestershire). The only way to enter the house is to climb through the hole on the roof (you don't have to look for clues to kill him). There is no one in the building except the cultist.

If you still want to find clues, then the first one can be obtained by killing the Junta, a member of the Order. The second clue is in the Thieves' Hideout, in Gloucestershire. Search in the locked house in the center of this camp (enter through the tunnel under the house).

Dart

Information about his whereabouts is still unknown.

Abbess Ingeborg (Head)

She can be killed according to the story as part of the Jorvik arc (the main quest "Burn the firebrand"), that is, you definitely will not miss a meeting with her. She cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Gregory (Needle)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Jorvik arc (the main quest "Prick of the Needle"), that is, you will definitely not miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Audun (Vault)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Jorvik arc (the main quest "Closing the vault"), that is, you definitely won't miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Order of the Ancients - Right Branch

Kyotwe the Cruel

He can be killed in the story in Norway, shortly after the start of the game. He will be the first boss you have to kill when you capture your first stronghold in the game. It is impossible to miss a meeting with him.

Leofgifu

To get clues about her location, you need to build the Office of the Unseen in your village. After that, you will be able to find out about its location on the map. She is located in the Grantbridgeskir location, in a military camp near Utbech (in the northeast, near the water).

Junta, son of Junta

To get clues about his location, you need to build the Office of the Unseen in your village. After that, you will be able to find out about its location on the map. You will find Junta in Ledecestershire. Head to the city of Ledecester and go to the market square, north of the lookout.

Sister Fridesweed (Leech)

She can be killed according to the story as part of the Lunden arc (the main quest “Bleeding the Leech”), that is, you definitely won’t miss a meeting with her. She cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Avgos Spearman (Arrow)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Lunden arc (the main quest "Walls and Shadows"), that is, you will definitely not miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Viselin (Compass)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Lunden arc (the main quest “Break the Compass”), that is, you definitely won’t miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Order of the Ancients - Lower Branch

rake

To find him, you need to kill 6 members of the Order who are associated with him (left branch).

Лира

To find him, you need to kill 6 members of the Order who are associated with him (upper left branch).

Fulk (Instrument)

It will be possible to kill him according to the story as part of the Essex arc (the main quest "Storm of the Walls"), that is, you will definitely not miss a meeting with him. It cannot be found and eliminated outside of this story quest.

Deputy

To find him, you need to kill 6 members of the Order who are associated with him (upper right branch).

Gorm Kjotvesson (Kiel)

First you have to kill 6 members of the Order in the right branch who are related to it (Kyotwe, Leofgifu, Junta, Sister Fridesvid, Avgos, Viselin). This will unlock a new main quest called "In a Strange Land". As part of it, you will need to talk with Hasim in the Office of the Unseen. He will advise you to talk to Randvi.

When you reach the desired character, select the Alliance map to view and scroll to the end (south of where the England map ends) to reveal a new location. Now talk to the woman at the pier in your settlement twice to travel to Vinland.

In the new region, you have to complete 2 main tasks to kill Gorm: "Hunting Grounds" and "Beast Hunter". The problem is that the character will not be marked on the map, so you have to find him yourself in one of the camps in Vinland. He is located in the western camp called "Narfleet" (the desired location is shown in the screenshots above).

Father

To reveal his whereabouts, it is necessary to kill all the other 44 members of the Order of the Ancients. Its location is still unknown.
